@@ChristianHowesViolinnot my comment but I love the beginner stuff. I know this is basic but this is foundations. Thank you. Can you do a video explaining what it means to play in a key? If the member content included this I would love to sign up again.
Thanks for letting me know!! To play in a key is the same as playing in a Major scale. The way I like to think of this: “play abcdefg when “x” is sharp or flat.” So for every scale you play there are seven notes (abcdefg) and the only thing that changes in the 12 keys is which notes are sharp or flat. You are always welcome to join the membership and I will be happy to create materials for you. Or you might like to try the zoom Classes in January. Let me know if this helps Galia. And I will continue making content for all levels:) thanks
@@ChristianHowesViolin I liked your explanations how to work the harmony in the context - in a piece, step by step, I liked to work the piece by ear; how to use the chords, how to simplify a piece and how to start to create a melody..
Amazing lesson thank you! I haven't seen this kind of content explained so clearly and engagingly before. You make it feel accessable and achievable. Thank you for sharing.
Hey, what’s your favorite pickup to use with an acoustic violin? I’ve heard good things about the blended ISI pickup (bridge piezo and mic blend) …or the lr baggs bridge pickup…thank you! Looking for the best sound!!! My fishman v200 sounds…aiiiight. Not the best.
I use the Yamaha. (they no longer make or sell them) Eric Aceto makes a great pickup. Or call Electric Violin Shop and they would have insights on the pros and cons of different options.
If I understand your question, the answer is that you will recognize chords faster after you go through the process in this lesson with more songs. Each time we truly learn the chords to a song we are playing it makes it faster for us the next time. Learn the chords to 10 songs really well and after that your ability to recofnize chords quickly will greatly increase.
Thank you Christian !! It's exactly what I'm looking for !!!!! Please, make more the tunes in this way :)))
Thanks for letting me know:) what about this did you like specifically? The fact that it's a popular tune or something else?

How do one recognize the chord asap by hearing? I usually have to form the notes in my head first before I can recognize it 😢
