has there ever been any news on Momoko's baby from back in March? She had the baby and was then isolated for a time. We watched as Haiko was distressed and missing his wife. Never heard another word. Did the baby make it ok? I know Momoko is elderly now, but would still like to know what happened.
Such a harmonious & loving family...I could happily sit in a little obscure corner somewhere & do nothing but observe them for hours & hours & hours on end...

Momoka is of mating age. Once any gorilla reaches that age, they are sent to another zoo to mate with another gorilla who has a family already, or another gorilla of the same age. If I am not mistaken, Momoko's eldest son is Momotaro, and his own eldest son Gentaro, is now of mating age. Of course, he will be sent to a different zoo, as Momoko is his aunt. The removal for mating is part of a program to expand the number of gorillas, as they are an endangered species.
@@cantoncardcollector1512 I have no idea. Kyoto City is in financial crisis, and they are accepting donations, if I understood correct, for upkeep of the zoo. It has closed down again because of the pandemic, and that is why we have no new videos of them. I will keep checking on my beloved gorillas, and share what I know. 👍

これだけ学習すればコモモもモモカも良い母になれる準備はばっちりですね。タロウは高齢すぎるので、モンタしか空きがないんです。モンタも若くはないですが・・・。あとは海外の可能性です。

独身🦍多いんですか？日本は、モンタ以外はハオコ血統かモモコ血統ばかりなのが問題の一つなので交換すればいいじゃないですかね。動物園はゴリラたちの将来をどのような判断をするのでしょうか。先日テレビで、とべ動物園のピース（日本ではじめて人工保育のシロクマだそうです。）のドキュメントをやっていました。わたしもピースには会ってますが、あっシロクマだ・・とだけ思ってました。かなり人気者みたいですね。シロクマも57頭いたのが今は38頭だそうです。
類人猿研究所日本動物園 ゴリラは一夫多妻でほうしじょうの数の関係もあり どうしてもオスが余ります。ある動物園ではバチェラーが五頭で暮らすとこもあります。
コモモちゃんのようなメスならどこの動物園も欲しいと思いますw😃😀🦍
ホッキョクグマ はアメリカでもうまくいっていません。将来的に安定しているのはロシアと🇷🇺カナダ🇨🇦だけと思います。ロシアのホッキョクグマ に対する扱いは好きです。まるでお友達のようでw
アメリカでもアラスカで孤児などがいれば野生を保護することも出来ますが 繁殖はなかなか難しいですね。アメリカも以前はホッキョクグマ は50数か所の動物園にいましたが今は27箇所くらいだと思います。
動物園がコモモちゃんの縁談のお話をどうするか見守りたいと思います😄💕
モンタとお見合いして気が合うかどうか確認するのも良いと思います。 モンタくん 寂しそうだし。
