You talking about Divine Wind? Only slightly continues the story in an adjacent manner and explains a few things. Incredible (won't spoil) roster implications for HW3 though, and a great read.
I also wish to know what book it is. Captain Cutter is my boy.
@@TeamRespawn its sequel to a few storys. i think its shadows of reach were the banished teleport atriox off the ark and divine wind takes place on the ark.

Some maps in multiplayer where you can build the unique unsc/banished barricades would've been really cool.
The right trigger grouping system is slept on. I always have my hero on the top Dpad slot, my main army on the right, super unit on the bottom, and finally anti air on the left.

I was listening to your discussion while watching your video. I do agree with you on the Halo TV series. As a fan comic book & Graphic novel reader.
Star Wars. I would like to point out. That if you watch episode one all the way to six, but in between, watch Clone Wars and Star Wars rebels. Rogue one and solo. Including Cassian. You can watch Obi-Wan, the Book of Bubba Fit, and the Mandelarian, Asoka. There is a timeline that makes sense and is closer to the source material. Until you get to the (Resistance Series. And the last 3 movies. And the acolyte). Everything in ( ) is Disney's.

Andy, real talk, 70% of your takes, I cannot understand. BUT, 100% agree that Halo 2 for the expansion of the world, variety, plot, and modern online multiplayer should make it the uncontested best Halo game. Halo 3 had flawless social features and forge on launch, so made it easy to embrace, but the plot execution, dialogue, and difficulty were all a disappointment. I hope this is the beginning of a and general Halo (and RTS) resurgence.
Rare Andy take W? That's what is so painful about 343 games as well, they generally (outside of H5) have had good stories, but flop in so many other areas...
@@TeamRespawn I replayed all the mainline titles with a friend earlier this year and enjoyed the responsiveness, maneuverability, and environments of Halo 5. I also quite enjoyed the multiplayer and how the loot boxes actually forced them to develop tons of new weapons, vehicles, game types, and content. The story was a sherman shame, since the plot actually flows naturally from the world building (AIs being some of the most noble, interesting, and selfless characters (BB being a standout) but only having 7 years to live, Cortana being tortured by the Gravemind in H2 and H3 and infected with the logic plague while also going rampant) but they left soooooo much out to later explain in books and didn't give the voice actors anytime to work. Contrast with BG3 and the financial incentives should be obvious, give your creators more time and money and you will reap the rewards 10x over.
As for a business model, I think it makes sense to try to milk whales (with 20 dollar skins and such), but not at the expense of adding meaningful content for the rest of the player base like weapons, modes, and DLC. They are making good money, but they could easily make so much more while actually enhancing this insanely amazing IP.
the original Age of Mythology is one of my favorite RTS games along side starcraft. Also the original Age of Mythology still holds up graphically very well I'm interested to see how it will play on xbox, I already have the pre-installed ready. I'm hoping it says fluid and easy to play as it is on PC
Also in regards to like what Star Wars could have done George Lucas literally handed them scripts for the next three movies and they pretty much tore them up

i also really enjoyed the new ac games. vallhalla was the weakest setting for me but combat was so enjoyable that i am aboslutley ready to play shadows. they just need to figure how to make good bosses and its a solid 8/10 game

i can understand why people didnt like the halo tv show but i thought it was really good with all the changes i like the unsc not leaving the sparten armor on reach as i thought it show that that unsc was alot more grey than the games unsc but even with all that i really hated the cliff hanger they had for season 2
I think the main point they chose to diverge into the silver timeline made a lot of sense and set up some interesting consequences (Halsey's decision whether or not to be honest or chemically and emotionally manipulate the Spartans) but some of the lore and characters choices aside from that were bizarre and/or just bad. I agree the show had some good scenes and characters, but why even have a separate timeline and diverge from the outstanding cannon when the community has yet to have a long running adaptation. This isn't the 30th star trek movie.
