- The offense got exposed on national TV again. Zach Wilson has seemingly no pocket awareness, too many fumbles, too many self inflicting penalties, and Allen Lazard does nothing but drop footballs and commit even more penalties. Justin Herbert put up a career low 136 yards yet somehow the Chargers still managed to score 27 points. Just your typical results in a must-win game for the New York Jokes.

Chargers fan here. I found your commentary more entertaining than the actual game. Your feelings and thoughts are nearly identical to many of my teams games. I feel for ya all, everything you said was on point.
I would trade the Jets team for your team any day of the week. If your weakness is your secondary, it is much easier to fix than our weakness which is the QB. Herbert is 1,000x better than Wilson. I would take him any day.
@@SmokinGun55no doubt but as a chargers fan we’ve had great Quarterbacks for 20 years from Brees to Rivers to Herbert only to suck and find new and creative ways to lose.
I’m not really comparing because the pain is different but being a Chargers fan is a special type of hurt.

@@arose112 EXACTLYY, as a charger fans it seems like every off season we are the CHAMPS. WE got the dream line up on paper... EVERY YEAR... well towards the end of rivers carreer they gave up on the line but still... solid weapons

The D is playing well. Play calling on the offensive side is not good. Zach is Jeckel and Hide. It could go either way.
It's not over, as long as the defense is fantastic. I really don't think Zach Wilson is the problem, but I also have no idea how we're going to score points. I like the up tempo stuff and I'd love to see more deep passing, but everything is hard unless we get solid oline play.

Saleh shakes his head on the sidelines at the latest penalty--but he's the one that's ultimately responsible for an undisciplined team that constantly commits penalties. When is he going to start cracking the whip , taking names, and kicking players' butts? You know what Parcells would've done to players that commit stupid penalties just when you're advancing up the field? Those players would've been benched immediately. It sends a strong message that committing penalties and sabotaging your own team is unacceptable.

Dropped passes, turnovers, penalties, poop blocking, huge sacks, missed passes, play calling that didn’t keep the D guessing, too much time in the pocket, how does anyone pick a Winner? This team look like they have never played together before, like a preseason game with hopeful players looking for a spot on the team. Worst offense I’ve watched in a good little while.
Never trust the Jets. I had to start Garret Wilson and Breece Hall because of the Jags bye week putting Etienne and Christian Kirk on my bench. I ended up losing by a little over seven points. So many dropped passes and penalties on actual plays that worked. I was winning before the game started. My opponent had Ekeler and the Chargers D.

Yep. Might actually help if the line blocked well enough that the opportune time to throw is *after* the QB finishes his drop back.
He's progressed to the point where he now looks like a rookie who can play, but has LOTS of rough edges to smooth out in terms of decision making in the moment. And he's also progressed to where he's not the reason they're losing games.
Then if you take into account if Lazard had caught 3 or 4 of those drops, or he or the other numbskulls don't get penalties on solid offensive gains (that usually don't actually cause the gain to happen at all lol), and who knows how the rest of this game looks. Because the successive plays would've been in totally different downs and distances, and thus there's no way to know how they'd have panned out, but I tend to think they'd have gone better than the results as they were last night.
How do you give up 191 total yards and lose by 3 touchdowns lol.
Because the Jets defense has been carrying the team HARD. All a team needs is around 17-20 points to beat the Jets.

I felt like the illegal shift call against Lazard was weak. Really? You're going to call that against the home team when they're down 14 points, even though it had no material effect on the play and was arguably not an infraction?
If in motion you must be set for 1 sec or you’re considered to still be in motion. So he wasn’t set and it was a penalty. You can be mad about it but that’s the rule and it gets called every week.
Yeah like the other guy pointed out that's a pretty standard rule, and they'll enforce it just about every time. Lazard was taking his good ol' time getting to the spot, and didn't get set in time. Wilson also should've noticed this and made sure not to snap the ball until Lazard was set, but I'll bet as it's practiced Lazard should've been there already.
So much talent on this team all around (minus the swiss-cheesiest of offensive lines thanks to injury and no depth) with no discipline is why these are the results they get.
When you don't get the little things right...the big, dramatic and game-changing things are so much harder to come by....that go in your favor, at least, lol.
