I’m so glad you found it helpful! If you are struggling with French knots I do have a video specific to them where I try to show the areas I find people struggle with them! Hope it helps you.
Some HUGE information that I got from this video was that these hoops dont have to be used permanently. I always only thought of embroidery as within these hoops forever as decor lol. Once I watched this, initially out of curiosity, I got a hoop and began to embroider a large tapestry I have in my living room! I havent felt so productive and creative in awhile and you helped immensely with that. So thank you!!!
That’s how I felt too! Sat here thinking to myself (after buying all the supplies one could ever need lol overly ambitious with all this free time) what the heck am I gonna do with hoops upon hoops of random designs hahaha I’ve heard of doing some framing as well aside from clothing.
That’s amazing!! I’m really sorry I’m so late to respond to this. I love that it inspired you to be creative. I think many people see that hoop as a permanent frame as opposed to a tool!! Hope you are still creating 💜💜
I never comment things but I just had to for this video! I have been thinking about trying to embroider small designs (like this one) on my clothes and all the videos I’ve seen have been time lapsed and confusing with crazy stitches, I LOVE how you explained this in detail and did it like we were in the room doing it along with you! Loved the video, thank you!!
your work is beautiful and i’m so appreciative that you shared with us .. going to try one now .. also, no worries about music, i prefer the peace and quiet :)
Thank you for this video! I feel there are other channels where people will talk a lot or have distracting music in the background, I appreciate the simplicity.
How do you get the needle to punch through so easily with the full 12 strand? Getting the needle through my fabric (unlined canvas backpack) was a huge struggle for each stitch
Hey there! Sorry to hear you are struggling! I would suggest using a larger sized needle. I usually use a size 3 when I am stitching hats and using all 6 strands. Also make sure your needle is sharp enough! I hope that helps!
Could you make a video on how you would tie the string to the needle and how tou would tie it when you are done enbroteing. Btw this video was so relaxing and informal ❤
What a fun pattern, thank you! Have you seen the chalk pencils? We use them in art class, it’s a pencil but it has compacted chalk that’s completely washable. They also have a fabric pencil that is also chalk. It’s in the sewing department.
I want to start hand embroidery cause I feel like its relaxing at least just watching it its relaxing. Any tips on what to get for when first starting?
Sorry for the very delayed response! I’m not great at answering comments! To get started you should have a small variety of floss colours, an embroidery hoop (maybe 5 or 6 inch) a few needs of different sizes (small to large holes) and some fabric! In the beginning when you are just messing around sometimes it’s good to use scraps of old clothes or some other fabric source you can recycle!
this might be a silly question but would you change the thread count based on fabric, for example a t-shirt? or does it not really matter, beautiful work btw!!
sunnyshine blue hey there! Not a silly question! I wouldn’t change the thread count no unless you are wanting a bulkier design but it doesn’t matter the material you are working with 😊
Hello! You can search on google "background music-free to use" or combine the words in one way or another. Info provided by my husband. Loved your video!
Are you always supposed to double your thread? Im just starting to learn and have been using 6 strand floss and take different numbers of strands out for thinner/chunkier stitches but haven’t ever doubled my thread (beyond the tail at the eye of my needle)
Hi! Sorry for my delayed reply. The answer is no. Many learn to stitch without doubling and tying a knot however I find it’s a lot easier to understand/learn how to stitch that way when you don’t have to worry about the end coming off the needle. That’s why I recommend this method for beginners
This would look hella cute on a bucket hat
Thats what i was thinking
Grandma Donut yes! I agree 🙂
im about to make some to sell wish me luck ✨
@@shasingss8510 yesss kween! Just believe and ik u can do it!
I was thinking that lol
I love the little popping sound as the eye of the needle passes through the fabric.
sharkrunaway me too!
The fact that she didn't have music is what made this video soooo satisfying
I’m glad to hear that because I’m not UA-cam savvy enough to have music 😂soooo all my videos are like this 👍🏼
i also hate that background lo-fi hiphop in the background of so many videos.. very distracting.
*Draws perfect circle*
Ingrid Carrasco 😂💜
When you said "French knot", I was worried I would have to watch another tutorial video- I love this! It's so complete
I’m so glad you found it helpful! If you are struggling with French knots I do have a video specific to them where I try to show the areas I find people struggle with them! Hope it helps you.
I dig that sound, when the needle goes into the fabric. Weird I know right?
Not weird! Totally a thing 😊
Crystal and Robert Dominguez you’re not alone
Thought it was just me 😅😅😅
It’s called ASMR!!
Embroidery asmr
It is not boring. It is so interesting, i am FASCINATED. To listen to that sound of the process. That is great. Thank you so much.
The lack of music was soothing, in a way. Great work, thanks ^-^
Annie Siby Thanks!’ I’m glad to hear that as I’m not very technologically savvy so my videos are very much without editing charms hehe
You make excellent tutorials! Very easy to see what you are doing. I ordered 2 of your kits. Can hardly wait to get them.

I love the sound of the needle and fabric going through the hat. Its pretty relaxing.
I love that sound. No one needs music if you only can have beautiful handmade sounds. :) Greetings from germany
So true! Hello!! 😀
The noise the thread makes while passing through the fabric is so soothing
I’m just starting my embroidery journey and find the sound of the needle going through the fabric super soothing🥰🥰 This was so helpful!

This was both so informative and relaxing, thank you!
SerialKillerSweet so glad!! Thank you 😊
I’d love to see how you manage the back of the stitching to prevent the stitches from coming undone.
Hey there! I tie off the floss tightly and trim the ends so it’s a clean as possible. Never have had any trouble with floss coming undone 😊
River Birch Threads - You’re the best. Thanks so much, your videos and insta have been so helpful in guiding my embroidery journey.

مبدعة و جميلة جدآ 😩💖🇮🇶
Makes me want to try embroidery again
You should absolutely try it again!
sorta gave up embroidery last time but this doesn’t look too impossible
I want to start hand embroidery cause I feel like its relaxing at least just watching it its relaxing. Any tips on what to get for when first starting?
Have you started yet? I would recommend strign, needles and the hoops as a basic, you can do ir without a hoop but it wold be a little bit messy
@@nikogeva I haven't started it yet thanks so much.
Delilah and Shyleigh you should use embroidery thread as it’s a lot more thicker then normal string... sorry, I meant *THICC* lol
@@imbroke_oop yeah, that's right, same with needles

*EGYPT*
your work is fascinating 😍😍
Thank you!! 😊
My sunflower is not that perfect like yours but it looks cute , Thanks ^^
I used it to cover a hole
So satisfying
can you use yarn when your doing this? btw I love this
If you had a big enough needle I think you could try! The look would be much more chunky but that might be cool!
I'm interested in embroidering hats as well. What size hoop and needle do you use?
Awesome! I use a 3’ hoop and the needle size is dependent on how many stands of floss I am using for a particular part of a project.
It is look like easy I will try it
Very good work
Nice video 😘😘😘
What size needle did you use for this??
Super thank you! Glad no tunes!
Here bc I’m bored in quarantine 😂🌻
Katherine Elizabeth that’s as good a reason as any!
