Thanks to you Andrew and the Pani foundation we are copying the Water cup competition here in Mizque, Bolivia. We are presently translating some of your videos into Quechua and will send them to you once done. If ever you wish to visit Bolivia you will receive a warm welcome and have a place to stay. Blessings
Thanks and great news. Where in Bolivia are you? Please send me an email: andrew.millison@oregonstate.edu with Quechua translations. I will put subtitles on my UA-cam if you make an srt file for translations. Thanks so much! 🙏🙏🙏
@@amillison we are in the department of Cochabamba. Rainy season is our summer Nov to March. Very similar climate, agricultural economy and situation to the village featured in the Water crisis video. I will email you with the translations as they are made. Thank you Andrew. Your videos bring tears of joy and appreciation to many.
It’s truly amazing to read this. I was recently in Peru and we were struck with how similar the rural landscapes and culture seem to Indian ones. Good luck!
Wishing you the very Best in Bolivia, it is an idea worth copying. Any help to the ecosystem anywhere on the planet is a big to mother earth and mankind.
Absolutely amazing!
I really love your series in India. Makes me know that we can change our world with hard work and cooperation..
This is actually the way India became the rich country it once was. Already in the late seventies and early eighties many gurus said it would be good to go back to the ancient ways when most people could be content and the few very rich people enjoyed sharing and generosity.
That's because Dharma = sustainability. It doesn't even teaches it, it just is. And Hinduism's own name for itself is "Sanatana Dharma" or Everlasting Dharma. Dharma comes from the root word Dhar which means that which upholds... dharma is simply all that which upholds existence of life on this planet. Gurus, Rishis, Saints over thousands of years have simply observed things that uphold better living and talked about it before someone wrote it down. Yoga, meditation, vegetarian (satvik) lifestyle, the entire gamut of ideas of Sanatana Dharma are working toward the same goal. :)
Indeed. That is why it is a shame it took until the seventies for the rest of the world to actually visit the ashrams and learn about dharma. However, Indians themselves bought into the new hybrid seeds and pest control and, most of all, the silly types of modern water management that dried up a country famous for its water abundance.
In most places in the world this is called slavery or indentured servitude.
Actually, no. That is because in this kind of economic system the few super rich would use their funds to sponsor excellence and beauty. The exploitative spirit has taken over hundreds of years ago but the original idea was that a royal family was just prancing around the otherwise useless riches like excessively ornate clothing and jewelry for the people's enjoyment and so that they do not have to. The royal court was a center of excellence where people could pursue and teach arts and crafts at the highest levels that could inspire village crafts people but would not be particularly practical at all levels of utility. In short, in the old system people cooperated for their joint good and the center of excellence did not have immediate power over the means of production. That means the absolute opposite of slavery except maybe for the royal family. However, that too, may be used to push narcissist and sycophants there and out of the rest of the people's way. The problem humanity faces right now is the concept of ownership and money. Have you ever tried to eat money? Live in money? Wear money?

can't wait! The India water revolution is one of the most inspiring grand collection of regenerative projects I have ever seen, and I love how you document and tell the stories.
This is so inspiring to watch. I shed a tear when you were welcomed into the village with such celebration! I have become obsessed with your Indian Water Revolution videos and share them every chance I get. You deserve to be awarded for the world-class education you provide to us all for free. Thank you!
Wow, thank you so much for the kind words! It was an amazing experience. I am very lucky to be able to share these videos with all of you.
Same here, tears turned up out of nowhere 💖
It's the way of welcoming guest in villages
Thank you for using the correct map of India. It really shows that you have respect for our country, greatly appreciated.
I copied the map directly from the govt of India's website
@@amillison does this trailer have yellow filter?
bro didn't take a chance 😂😂
I’m so excited for this entire series. Thank you to our Indian brothers and sisters are who leading the globe in large scale water restoration. Bravo!
Wow! India - known for its diversity in terrain, weather, people, culture and even the diversity in the solutions to its challenges - are all so well captured! Great work! 👏👏🙏
We Indians need more people like you. Thank You for your service .
I really feel your sense of hope emitting through this trailer. Thank you for sharing what truly humble and coordinating people are capable of. Thank you for showing us what’s possible.
Thank you so much Naomi! I hope you enjoy this series, it's going to be great. :)
What a refreshing change from the "look at me, I'm eating street food in India" videos that seem to proliferate UA-cam. Thank you!
Can’t wait for this series! You are one of the most impactful filmmakers of our age, i’m always thrilled to see the notification bell when it’s from your channel Andrew. I’ll still be watching when you’re David Attenborough’s age and have his legend status, which you already have in my eyes!
Peace and love!
Thanks JPS. I think I'm just getting started here. I think you're really going to enjoy this series. I still can't even believe what I saw there...
Totally agree with the above statement!.
I'm so excited for this! I loved the previous India water revolution videos, and in general this channel produces some of the best content on UA-cam. Thank you, Andrew, for being a permaculture and earth restoration inspiration.
Hello
I just wanted to say that I'm finishing my Master of Landscape Architecture thesis on Permaculture in the arid region of Isfahan,Iran. Your channel has been a great resource and inspiration.
I appreciate the work that you do.
Isfahan is one of the places in the world I would really like to go, and check out the ancient qanats
@Andrew Millison if you ever plan on coming. I'd be more than happy to have you as my appreciation for your work.
Andrew,
I'm working towards a degree in restoration ecology and it's my dream to do work in India one day. This series will be perfect for me to get an idea of the major projects and players. Very much looking forward, thanks!
5:35 really captures the sound of rajasthani folk music. ❤️
The video was edited in Rajasthan by Rajasthanis so I'd hope they'd get it right!
I feel so happy and proud that you have come to India to learn our ways of water management. I have been following your channel for a long time and have seen different ways of water management and permaculture and I became even more happy to see that you are doing a series on India. Can't wait for the videos. 😍
Pumped to see more of what India has going on! 👌
And I'm pumped to show you all! :)
If we can do it, then anyone on the planet can do it! Kudos to you Andrew for covering it and showing the water restoration work in India to a wider audience. This will inspire a whole new generation of water harvesters around the world ❤ Love this brother 😍
These projects in india should be examples to all of us. Amazing documentations, and of course congratulations to indians securing freshwater and food for generations to come!
Thank you so much for sharing this extremelly valuable content! I really hope we have a Water Revolution like that in México SOON!
Andrew thank you so much for showcasing the awesome work done by many states in India. Its a shame that Indian media don't cover these positive things so much. Thanks again Andrew. Wishing you the best
Many thanks Rahul! It is such a shame isn't it? We need more positivity these days!
I am from Coimbatore.
Save the soil..by Isha is CRITICAL for our food needs.
I watched your series three years ago. I also watched your video about the “5 biggest water harvesting projects” where I think all were in India. I was so desperate to see how everything has evolved since. For some reason, there’s not much info available on these projects. Paani foundation has stopped creating videos in English, they have stopped creating success stories, they do a lot of “better farming” gigs in Marathi but water is the key. I am thrilled that you will cover a before / after scenario. Thank you.
Wow...being an Indian I don't know so much work was afoot for preserving water and nature.
Thx for sharing such content hope the world can come together for positive impact on environment rather than the filthy politics and wars the political leaders are driving the world to.
Looking at all the comments on your videos it's evident civilians care about environment than govts know.
Keep inspiring....
Thanks to the innovative people of India trying in their own small way to change things around and how back to the grassroots level. We don't need the government for every little thing but ordinary everyday humans are transforming beautiful India. So proud of my dear country.
YES! Loved your series in India. The scale of the water restoration projects are insane to witness. Happy to see it come back. :)
Hey Andrew! Wanted to take time to tell you how much I love your content. I have experience in water and wastewater, but still I am learning with your videos. Inspiring.
Thank you Jeff. You guys are the reason we do this. :) Stay tuned for more to come soon!
Andrew, I greatly admire your work and consider you a role model
Nothing has given me more hope of positive change in the world than your videos, and in particular your Indian stuff to date. I'm really looking forward to this. Thanks, Andrew
Make a difference in every way you can. Yesssss...
Blessings ...
Love and light from Lebanon to the world...
Fantastic work Andrew! Covering the length and breadth of India. The welcome by villagers was so touching. Truly endearing. May your work open new horizons for you.
Sir, Kochi airport in Kerala is a must visit. They are the first airport in the world to run completely on solar energy. Also they grow food under the solar panels organically.
Here in Prescott being so proud of you. All your hard work showing this country what is possible. Things change so slowly. Thank you for the video.
As soon as you say Coimbatore i instantly knew that the Isha Foundation has to be part of the project.
Congratulations, well done!
Glad you are going back to the Paani foundation area, one of my favorite of all the videos. Which are mostly all favorites in general. Can't wait for this current series to get started. I'm a big fan!
Thank you Carmen. I am very excited to share this next chapter with all of you. Stay tuned!

I can’t wait to see more. I’m so jealous you got to see the Isha Foundation. Thanks to Sadhguru my anxiety has gone down. Sometimes I go a whole year without an anxiety attack.
Thank you Andrew for your visit to Incredible India and your interest on India's water restoration projects. I'm from Tamilnadu and we do little water restoration work in our farm consist of 2 hectares
Really looking forward to this.
I have been living in the high plains of New Mexico, for about 6 years now, and no one seems to really be thinking about water management in a sustainable way. This area has been in drought for many years. In this area the average rainfall should be about 17", but it's been in drought for 15 years now, 2 summers ago, we just 4" of rain. And the aquaphor is being depleted faster then it can recharge, it dropped 12" last year, and only gained 1" back.
Thanks so much, Andrew for covering this not so explored water rehabilitation projects across India. It is incredible, the transformation of landscapes speaks for itself. You have no idea how much you are contributing to the rural development of India. Its just the tip of the iceberg. Imagine if all of India comes together and effectively utilizes the power of water !!. Let's hope that happens in the foreseeable future. Once again heartfelt thanks for your efforts. I wish India's 1.4 so billion people would acknowledge the importance of these projects and actively participate in them in whatever way they can!
I link many times to your channel .
This is the solution to so many problems around the world.
Edit : I would have liked it but didn't want to change the 777 likes
I am utterly grateful to Andrew Millison who is covering india's specificity in an unbiased way
Thank you for the kind words. It's always important to have a balanced perspective. I'm so excited to show everyone these videos, and to help shed some light on this topic. :)
I've followed your lectures on waste water/grey water recycling, now seeing you in my country is so priceless
This is fantastic to see that the knowledge is spreading, I first saw an Australian do this possibly 20 years ago. He transformed useless dry farmland into lush pasture.
Wow just wow thank you for your contribution on water restoration, permaculture 🙏
excited to see all these and learn more about each state people efforts.
I hope you got to see Telangana state lift irrigation project efforts which looks promising
I’m looking forward to watching.

I appreciate the kind words Sachin! Thank you. :)
Yes, 😂you are setting finest example for all people ❤let's all help out to repair our beautiful home!!!!💫🙏🎶
I am impressed by their retaining trees in their fields. That adds to plant diversity; and farm resiliency if the trees also produce food.
You'll be excited then to see how the Isha Foundation is integrating agroforestry into field cropping among hundreds of thousands of farmers
@@amillison
I am a definite fan of that.
@Disabled-Megatron
I absolutely agree. I try to raise awareness online whenever I see people dealing with drought, drylands, flooding, etc.
Bill Gates is the biggest offender in the US despite his eco-posturing. Gates uses conventional agricultural methods then raises meat in a lab, all for profit. He greenwashes all of this while greenwashing his jetting around as well. His methods are a big offender.
@@amillisonisha foundation is a very controversial organization headed by a fraud guru grabbing public land. It's best if you stop promoting them. Rest other projects in India are genuine
Oh I’m so excited. I wasn’t sure if I’d ever get know how these projects turn out. Thank you so much for the content you produce! It’s is truly inspiring to know what is capable and that large scale changes can be done! Love from Texas 🤠
Great
Thank you for your amazing work Andrew, God bless you 🙏

Really looking forward to this one Andrew
I agree with a former responder who said this trailer is a big leap forward in video design and skill from what was already the most captivating video series available, all designed to help us live well everywhere, taking care of the land and its people. Looking forward to the rest of this India series.
Full disclosure, this is my mother-in-law so of course she loves it 😁 Hi Karen ❤️
I second her opinion, your videos shows me the positive spirit of india, and gives me so much hope, compared to the constant negative news.
i am an indian Australian moving back to my home country. And want to do parmaculture in my village. As i look around there are just to many good things happening. By the way are you going to cover Subhas Plaker he is a legend.
Your work is an inspiration for many many people around the globe!
