I just found a vintage pair made in Japan for Sears at a Salvation Army thrift store. I couldn’t believe it when I looked thru them at the store. Without a second thought, I snatched them up at a bargain price. The case is really cool too. It looks like a small ladies purse which is perfect for me. It didn’t come with the manual, but I found it online. Tomorrow I am headed on a camping trip on the Colorado River. I can’t wait to use them. I love the idea of reusing items, and I can’t wait to try them out.
I agree just bought a pair of antique British Olympic 7x50 binoculars for $4.00 cdn I have looked through a lot if binoculars and they are for sure in my top 4 and maybe number one.

Thank you for the video! I’m an old soul and have an affinity to antiques. I’m an avid bow hunter and looking for some antique binoculars. Do you have any brands or specifics I should be looking for? Bauch and Lomb, Swarovski? Etc.? Thanks again!
@JB-JB-JB-JB You're welcome! Antique binoculars can be a real treasure. When it comes to brands, Bauch and Lomb and Swarovski are excellent choices, known for their quality optics. Also, keep an eye out for Zeiss, Leica, and Nikon. Look for well-preserved optics and functioning focus mechanisms. Happy hunting, both for binoculars and in your bow hunting pursuits!
Definitely, @branned! Garage and estate sales can be treasure troves for finding excellent vintage binoculars, especially those made in Japan. It's incredible how these hidden gems can still deliver impressive optical quality. May your curious spirit lead you to remarkable adventures and unveil countless hidden gems! Thank you for your comment.
I bought a Vintage German Hensoldt Wetzlar 6x30 sports dialyt from 1936 , it's rare , incredible how good and sharp the picture is after so many years . The New ones are just to expensive , and the Vintage charme is different .
I was just given what I am assuming to be some sort of vintage monocular. It's very small & markings say SWIFT HUNTSCOPE model T22 4x,20 in a black case with soft red inner lining. I have Google searched till I have nowhere else to look. I can think of. Is there anyone out there that could give me any info on this. I'm only assuming it is vintage because I can find zero info on it? It looks absolutely brand new but has a very old 'look' to it. The clarity looking through the glass is excellent. Is it possible anyone out there with know anything about this piece?
@landofyoutubers That's intriguing! 😮 World War II-era binoculars can have fascinating histories and often offer great optical quality. Vintage binoculars like these can be real gems. Thanks for sharing that you have one! 😍
