There’s a juxtaposition as he returns to “reality” between Capt Beckett and how real Beckett is softer and smiles. It’s a slight view of how she changed over the years
@@Alieh86yeah, that’s kind of the point I think. This episode was really good at showing what life would be like for Beckett and Castle had they never met each other. Beckett would be the closed off person she was when the show started mainly because she never got closure for her mothers murder without meeting Castle, and Castle would have made shit books after Derek storm had he not met Beckett. He would also be the same womanizer that he was prior to Beckett as he never really met anyone else that he had that spark with.
Oh whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa, I cannot believe i didn't make this connection. In principle, this is the same way that Beckett was shot at Montgomery's funeral, but castle does what she didn't at the time and says "I love you" as he seemingly dies.
And now let's just sit down for a while and think about that poor AU Beckett. Her mother's murder case is still unsolved, so she is crawling and hiding inside it like the damaged goods she knows she is. As a result, she has no interest in a romantic relationship ("I'm married with my work') and plainly hates her work ("I do most paperwork and politics'). Her walls are up and grow up and up by the moment. Then along comes Castle, a guy she once respected as a writer, and helps her solve a case, and tells her that the real Beckett would never make compromises, but pursue for the truth to the very end, and his behavior helps create a tiny little door in the walls, to the point that she accepts what it was supposed to be a date. And then the only man she could ever love dies in her arms trying to protect her, and his final words are "Because I love you, Kate!". To see a glimpse of normality if not downright happiness in her life, and then the glimpse is gone forever in less than a day - how much more darker do you think her character will become as a result? Well, I can definitely see this AU Dark Beckett entering politics and teaming up and even marrying a guy like Bracken, not knowing he ordered her mother killed. Now, that would be a nice scenario for a spin-off movie that I would love to see, if it ever will be one ...
I always liked it when they sneaked in things like this. The guy that claimed to be a time traveler disappearing when he turned the corner of the police HQ, the ghost that pressed button of the elevator just before Castle was going to.
Similar to Walker, Texas Ranger where they had a child in a lab with powers. Most random episode ever as others were mostly grounded and then appears a random episode like that.
this also proves that not matter what reality you can try to go to, you cant change ur destiny and in this episode the bad guy was doing the same thing in both of them and failed in both
There is something I don’t get it. How did the talisman to bring Castle in the original reality ? Unless it only create something of realistic dream inside Castle’s mind .

Remember, Castle entered this alternate universe only because he expressed doubts about the real world being the world where their love was the most accomplished.

I have a theory what if the reason castle left are there wedding day was a way to save becketts life in the long run I mean the way he said because I love you after she said why did you save me just his face looked like he remembered why he left becaues there is no way bracken is gone for good then there 3xk and every other person they have managed to piss off In 7 years
