@@OzJimboI've heard in different regions they use different grade oil. But coz mine is standard I thought I'll just stick to what the owner's handbook says. Where are you from
@levichance gday mate, our xr5s must use 0W -40 dont go any different from that. Otherwise, you could face some expensive issues in the long run. I use only Castrol Edge 0W-40 in mine. And dont go past 10 thousand ks without a service. These engines are super unpredictable. I would advise anyone who has one to get the block mod done if you haven't already. These engines don't care how many ks you've done. The cylinder liner will go even at low ks. Especially when you do heavy mods like me. Mine is a stage 3.
@OzJimbo I'll go with 0W then, thanks. This will be the first service I do on it since purchasing. I'm pretty strict with my services so I'll stick with 10k intervals which is what I usually follow on other cars as well. Do you think it's still worth doing the block mod if I'm leaving the engine untouched, bone stock? I've read on a few forums saying you only really need to do it when you start pushing for power out of them?
Hello, how could I get in touch with you? It is to ask you about the installation of the fog lights with angel eyes on the mondeo st220.

Bro, you don't want that oil in your mondeo 2.5L. You want 0w-40.

@blkedge220 yep fair enough man, if it's in your owners manual then your all good. I'm in Australia. I have the XR5 2.5L, 5 cylinder Turbo
@@OzJimbo I've also got an XR5 Turbo, owners manual states only 0W-40 however the Penrite website also says i can use 5W40? Not sure which one to use.
