They died believing they were protecting the freedom of people younger than them. They would want you to be happy. These men understood generosity, hope, and friendship. You can be happy and contribute in a way that honors their deaths.

First of all my respect for the Navy Seals who fought that day like true warriors until the very end. Also my respect to the Seals and Night Stalkers who were inside the rescue helicopter. I wish Delta Force had been there to help the Navy Seals.

The movie was largely inaccurate. Luttrell left the base with 11 magazines and that's what he had on him when he was found. He also said there were 200 Taliban fighters then the investigation rounded it down to 30. However the Afghan that found him said there were less than 10, other evidence to back that up is the fact the Taliban filmed the whole thing which shows 7 Taliban went to confront the seals after they heard the helicopter that dropped them off. The goat herder in the movie did happen but it wasn't what drew the Talibans attention. Also the SEALS didn't kill any of the Taliban, one had a wound on his arm that's it. The gun fight at the end when U.S helicopters came for Luttrell didn't happen, his heart didn't stop either, in fact Luttrell was able to sit in one of the houses drinking tea while he de-briefed his commander. I could go on but I'm sure you get the point. To be honest I'm not sure why Luttrell was given a MOH for a failed mission, the MOH is supposed to be for giving your life to save another or putting your life on the line to save another. Luttrell did neither.
