Im trying to build tent rack on my new maverick using thule roof rackthat supports 800 lbs and a bed rack that supports 500 lbs. The issue im having is they are differant height by 5 inches. Will be functional soon
I like those Apache Cases. What size are the larger ones you have in the pull out drawer? Those would fit perfectly for what I plan to do with my Unicorn Maverick.
Nice set up man. I like the mavericks. I'm trying to get into overlanding in NW Florida with a 2 door wrangler. Planning on hitting up Appalach N.F. a lot.
@@jv6miata check out water management areas near you. They have camp sites, some primitive but with easy trails to get to. Just start scoping them out and decide on a place to start. I'm going to start simple before trying anything too remote.
Nice set up, how does the top rifle case attach to the rack? I'm getting a ladder rack added to my kayak trailer and considered adding something like that to it.
So day-in/day-out stuff (eg not on an outing), the fridge is plugged to the truck/starter battery. What is your estimate for the amount of time the alternator is replenishing your starter battery, as a daily average? I ask because my truck spends days upon days in the garage (I work from home), so I keep it plugged to the wall (laptop 20V/90W charger plugged into a generic MPPT CC into the AGM starter batt)
Have you seen this maverick at overland expo? Pretty sick and amazing it still gets like 22 mpg. I had a honda ridgline for a while and it was super capable but no love from the off road community, super happy you are showing a different point of view - very cool! ua-cam.com/video/kFaSATXL6H0/v-deo.html

Good luck with your build.
Thank you for this ! Love Ford Maverick, which I will get a new one soon!
You’re welcome.
Solid set up. What is thinking w extinguisher. Also you gonna get a wedge tent or wedge canopy?
A lot of jeeps and vehicles overheat while off roading and catch fires. I have a roof top tent now.
@@OverlandFlorida I'm in pnw so not as many fires.
Liking the new truck and set up!!
Thanks!
That setup is sweet
Thank you.
VERY NICE , She's looking good !!!!
Thank you!
What height is the top of the cross bars on the extrusion? Are you happy with that height?
I believe it’s 13 inches. It was the perfect height for me. I’d do it all over again. I wouldn’t go lower.
I’m about to buy and xtrusion rack and I was wondering, I also have a gator trifold cover, did you just get the standard wing bracket option?
I got the wide brackets. Use code OverlandFlorida to save some money.

Do you live near Lakeland? I'm selling all my cases. I think they are almost $50 each.
@@OverlandFlorida No, sorry I live in Iowa.
Hello from Denver
Hey David, it's been a few years since I've been to Denver. I sure miss it out there.
I have a ford roll up tonneau cover , would your mount work w this ?
I really don’t know.
I like way u run the fridge
Thanks. It works well this way.
what height did you choose on xtrusion bed rack?
13 inches. Be sure to use the code and save some money.
Чето я памперсов там не увидел?....
Cool set up. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you!
YT recommended this vid... subscribed! Cool setup! Do you leave everything in there as shown full time? It'd be gone where I live.😆
Thanks for subscribing. I leave everything in my truck except the rotopax and fire extinguisher. The tailgate locks, so the camping gear is safe.
Awesome truck , great setup and gear you got. BTW, I love Everglades seasoning. Saludos from Miami 305 !
Thank you! Everglades is the best!
👍👍👍👍👍, Nice!
Thanks Narley!

Yes sir! I stop by every time I’m up in Franklin.
Where'd you camp around Ocala? I'm planning to move to Florida and buying a Mav.
You can basically camp anywhere in Ocala.
Cool, are you a diver?
I'm dive certified, but unfortunately I don't dive very much at all.
@@OverlandFlorida aww well I dig your license plate flag! Anywho, great build and thanks for explaining and giving me ideas!
@@rolandazurin4273 thank you and you are welcome!

You should be fine in a 2 door jeep. I used one for many years.
I'm in NW Florida with a 2wd durango, is there anywhere local that's nice but simple for a newbie?

You can just take some self tapping screws and attach it to your ladder rack.
how does that rifle case etc effect gas mileage on the interstate
The only effect is has is wind noise. I averge 26.5. Without the rack and rifle case I was at 27.5.

I'm not sure how long my truck would need to run in order to charge the battery.
Does everything lock that is mounted on the rack ?
You can lock everything. But I don't have anything locked.
talk about your truck,,, not all the s**t in a plastic container... geeeee
You could have stopped watching at any time.

I haven't watched the video on that maverick yet. I like the new Ridgelines and the pilot trails are nice too! 👌
Be sure to put an oil catch can on it!
That's what I've read.
Why did you choose a vehicle with such limited offroad capability?
It's practical. I save a lot of money with it and it still does all the trails I used to do and I can still go camping.
