Hmmm. Really seems like Mike judge still has it, and that makes a lot of sense. When you see interviews with him, or he talks about the show, he never seemed embarrassed by his more immature work (not that I think that he in any way should be! I just mean that’s what happens with some creators) and he always talked fondly about it. He never seemed like he had a giant ego about it either. He genuinely came across humble, but proud, and like he had sincerely enjoyed making each episode. It seems like he decided to do more for the RIGHT reasons. Money, he thought he could do them right AND he loved doing it. Those are absolutely the best three reasons to bring back old characters!
