I've been struggling to get DCT for hours and you explained everything so well, I can't thank you enough for all the work that you put into this video!
Great resources for revising all the key concepts !! Understood this last semester as part of an ImageProcessing course, brushing up fundamentals for upcoming placement drives... thanks a ton prof !
1. That C(u,v) is in denominator or not? 2. N x N cosine transform is necessary to write in exam if the question asked is to write expression for 2D DCT?
@@ronaldtamsar we use quantization for converting analog signal to digital. In case of one dimensional signal first we digitise it by quantization and then use dct

Thank you so much for your wonderful comment ☺️. Keep learning
@@TheVertex-Engg-Lecturescan you implement it in python 25:15

@@newbie8051 Thank you so much for your wonderful comment ☺️. I am glad that it helped you. Best wishes
Thanks Madame ❤, couldn't understand a bit about dct & now i saw your video, made it much more clear.
You are welcome ☺️. I am happy to know my video helped. Keep learning 👍
Wonderful session 🤩🤩
Thank you so much☺
Good job girl!
Thank you so much 😊
nice explanation
Thank you so much 😊
So good ❤
Thank you so much 😊 keep learning 👍
Mam, At 1:43 DFT formula kya shi hai ? kyuki apne apni DFT wali video mai 1/N include nhi kiya tha.
Let me check
1. That C(u,v) is in denominator or not?
2. N x N cosine transform is necessary to write in exam if the question asked is to write expression for 2D DCT?
Yes required
@TheVertex-Engg-Lectures Thanks. But I also want to ask if C(u,v) is a denominator or not in the main equation ?
Thank you!
You are welcome 😊 keep learning 👍
shouldnt we multiply 1/2 ?
??
does it mean the image is by default is in spatial domain always??
Yes you are right 👍
❣
did DCT compress without quantization?
Yes
@@TheVertex-Engg-Lectures still confuse, why miss?
@@ronaldtamsar you check matrix after dct all information is available in top left corner and at other places all zeros. This is how it compress
@@TheVertex-Engg-Lectures and ofcourse it more compressed after quantization miss?
