Bob Hope was a lovely man. Back in the 1950s a friend of mine was being flown emergently to Kansas City because of severe childhood asthma. She and her family were in coach, which was full of cigarette smoke. Mr. Hope invited her to come up to first class and sit with him-there was no one smoking up there. He was very kind, entertained her during the flight.
Here's something that really burns me up.
Brice Taylor/Sue Ford's book: Thanks For the Memories: The Truth Has Set Me Free, a "tell-all" book about how Bob Hope, Henry Kissinger, and others SA'd her when she was a child, and said they were part of MK Ultra.
She has been said to have Bipolar depression or some other mental illness, all the more reason why people shouldn't waste their time or money on that book. It can be found on Ebay and Amazon sometimes, but it's pretty steep. I have better things to spend my money on. Who knows if it's even true anyway?
I do believe that you’ve just confirmed that slimy Hope was a pedophile.
Cruise is a cult leader.
my husband was aboard the ship the original top gun movie was partly filmed in. he said tom was an arrogant ass who thought he was better than everyone else on the boat. Hubby also said that, in all his 20 years of active duty he never met anyone as arrogant as tom was. I asked hubby if, with his attitude, tom would have been able to hit the broad side of a barn. he said no, and said they had ways to bring these aviators down a peg or 2, which is why the real ones don't act as entitled as tom did. they know better
Let's face it 90% of Hollywood actors are a misinformed bunch of jerks. The good common sense actors are rocking the boat and telling it like it is. Bravo.
Bing Crosby could be called "Daddy Dearest".
Bing's sons lied...especially Gary. He needs to be removed from the list. Bill Cosby should be put on instead...he's a jerk!
Robert DeNiro is known to be one of the biggest jerks in Hollywood history...also Kubrick
Here’s the way I see it:
I probably look at people at different levels, the same exact way, my family is my family, my friends are my friends, my associates are my associates, and celebrities are celebrities. I take everyone and everything with a grain of salt. No two human beings are exactly the same and should never be the same. No two of us on here will look at a particular person the same exact way that someone else does. The way, I judge someone, regardless of whether I know them or not is I use a few of my five senses, whatever I see or hear that’s in front of me as it pertains to a person is how I will assess that person. I try not to take people I don’t know too seriously because, their actions at the end of the day Don’t even have a profound impact on my life. If someone who entertain you in some way doesn’t bring any harm to you or anyone close to you, why should you really care what type of person they are. let them live their life and when they are no longer around, they will meet their ultimate judge. I guess I say all of that to say, just do you and don’t worry about anyone else or anyone else’s opinion on somebody you even remotely admire
Beverly D'Angelo said after Vegas Vacation she refused to do another Vacation movie with Chevy Chase because he is such a complete jerk.
But, they both had a small role in the Vacation reboot starring Ed Helms as Rusty Griswold. They also did the Old Navy holiday commercials as The Griswold's.

A friend of mine was in the Navy and was stationed on the USS Ranger CV-61 during the filming of Top Gun. He met all the actors and crew, and since he was a bo's'un mate, he was required to be on the set as a stage hand. He said that they would be in port in San Diego for months, occasionally travelling out to shallow sea for shots of the ship and aircraft to appear to be in deep water. The film crew was hard to get along with as they would interfere in routine military operations and would not follow the strict regulations regarding sanitation, organization, discipline, obedience to ship's personnel and officers, both enlisted and commissioned, including the first officer and captain. They also got so many Navy and military terms and techniques wrong in the script and how things were done, that it became a farce, and that the ship's crew tried to help them be more accurate. However, they refused to alter the script or performances of the actors, which infuriated the Navy personnel. My friend also said that Tom Cruise complained about everything and would throw a fit if he didnt get his way. He hated the cramped spaces and the heat, and the military food they had to eat in the galley as they couldnt have catering onboard. He was often disrespectful to Naval officers, and almost got in a fist fight with a sailor, before other sailors pulled Tom back and said, "On this ship, you're either going to follow our rules or you'll get put in the brig. Your choice." They escorted him off the ship and only allowed him to return the next day. The film crew was under strict surveillance by the ship's MAs Master At Arms (navy police), from that time on. When filming was over, they were happy for it, but it was only a few months later when the Ranger was used again for the Navy scenes of Star Trek 4 The Voyage Home. However, he said that this film crew and the actors were briilant to work with, were respectful and charming, and they were completely done filming within a few short hours. Same as with Top Gun, they were docked in their home port of San Diego, not at Alameda as stated in the film. He says that to this day that he refuses to watch Top Gun, but that Star Trek 4 is his favorite Star Trek movie of all time, even though he isnt a sci-fi fan.
I was stationed aboard the USS Ranger CV-61 during the "Top Gun" filming, off the San Diego coast. I got along with some of the "Top Gun" characters, except Tom Cruise, because, he was hanging around with the officers aboard the USS Ranger CV-61. I had an evening meal with some of the "Top Gun" characters, which sat at the same table with me, in the aft galley. I ate my evening meal with Meg Ryan and other "Top Gun" actors. The F-14 crew had to adjust the peddles in the F-14's, so Tom Cruise could reach them, because, Tom Cruise only stands 5'5" tall. I had to tell Tom Cruise, congratulations, when he landed the F-14 on the flight deck aboard the USS Ranger CV-61, after they filmed the F-14 fighting the enemy aircraft. He threw a lot fits during the filming of "Top Gun". The only thing Hollywood did, is try to film the "Top Gun" movie as correctly as possible aboard the USS Ranger CV-61and Navy life. They used 3 aircraft carriers to film "Top Gun". The USS Ranger CV-61 was stationed at Alameda during the Vietnam war, then it was transferred to San Diego, after the Vietnam war.
Yeah! My brother-in-law was on the USS RANGER when I was on the USS MCKEE (both homeported in San Diego) during the Star Trek movie filming. Ships crew was sworn to secrecy (as much as possible). My BIL said all the actors were terrific, and the film crew as well.
Best way to deal with arrogant jerks from Hollywood is to boycott hollywood

I have always believed Christina Crawford.
@@joinjen3854 Why not believe her?
June Allyson tells a very disturbing story about how she saw Joan Crawford treat her daughter, Helen Hayes also made statements and her son told how he saw Joan tie her son to the bed at night.
You can see all the interviews on UA-cam.
I also always believed Christina Crawford.
Joan Crawford was 2 different people, a true professional, always on time and knew her lines even when drinking a bottle of vodka a day. People loved her or hated her depending on what side of her you saw.
She was horribly abused as a child, grew up in poverty and like many of the abused she herself became an abuser. But regardless she was a massive talent.

I'm gonna use an old-fashioned term for Mickey Rooney - he was a cad. I once watched an interview with him wherein he consistently referred to himself in the 3rd person.
I worked as a gate agent at Pittsburgh International Airport and checked DIck Van Patten in for a flight. He was full of himself and rude. No thanks. I also had to call Paul Newman about a flight he was taking out of Dayton and he was as gracious as could be.
Tom s cruising for a fall. Pride always precedes that.
given his predilection for climbing tall buildings, i hope you're right.
I was once listening to a producer being interviewed. I forget his name now . He was talking about the ridiculous demands actors make in their contracts for themselves and their entourage. He said the best actor he ever worked with was the Australian actor Paul Hogan. He said on the first day of filming Crocodile Dundee, Paul Hogan wandered on set with just a Collie dog and the only thing Paul stipulated in his contract was that his dog was to receive free meals for the duration of filming . Bless them .

Oh spot on, I've met Andrea Thompson . On NYPD blue she plays a bitch but in person she was the nicest and friendliest person to be around.
Oh, I don’t know. I’ve hardly heard a bad word about Dawn Wells from Gilligan’s Island. It seems she was just acting naturally. The Skipper, Alan Hale was also considered a nice guy, too, as well as the Professor.
I can say 100% that Alan Hale who played the Skipper from Gilligans Island was a nice person. I've met him in person. He had a seafood restaurant in California a while ago and had a non Hollywood business arrangement with my uncle who is black. Alan went to each table and greeted you personally regardless of your skin color. He had the exact same persona!ity in his restaurant as on the tv show.

They say that Val Kilmer is another one. And Alec Baldwin. Also Sean Penn, Bill Murray, Richard Pryor and George Clooney and Julia Roberts.
A lady was online, and she said she had a cousin who was an actress in Hollywood. Her cousin said, stay away from Julia Roberts! Julie is the devil! Many people hate Julie, and she is a real con with the public. BTW, its complicate, but the lady who said this was the real deal
I heard about things like this about Alec Baldwin, Sean, Penn, and at times Richard prior. I’m surprised Danny Kaye didn’t rate a cameo. In a book written in 1967 about being an airhostess by Trudy Baker and Rachel Jones, they list a whole bunch of “good guys”. Then they list celebrities they have flown with (code for jerks). Danny Kaye is on this list along with Zsa Zsa Gabor, Gerry Lewis, Joan Crawford, etc.
Some celebrities listed as good guys may surprise. Bob Hope is there, and Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton.
And Rooney was obviously some kind of pervert! Px
Mickey Rooney was the worst of that group. He took sexual perversion and crudeness to new levels.

Milton Berle is the uncle of former lead singer of Ratt, Stephen Pearcy who’s bandmates did not get along with, coincidence?
The left Robert de Niro out, everyone says he is the biggest jerk to work with, and jealous of those with more popularity like Frank Sinatra; who he has demonized.
I haven't been able to watch Tom Cruise since the blow up on Oprah.
Another three are jerks is Robert DeNiro, Joe Pesci and Robert Reed. Robert Reed was the father on the Brady Bunch. I like that show and had no clue how much Robert hated it. He felt it was beneath him. On the show he seemed ok but he was a miserable man. After he died not only was it revealed he had aids but almost every character on the show mentioned how miserable he was to be doing that show. Some felt like he was miserable because he was gay and back then that could ruin your career. The show ended because the guy who made the show Sherwood I believe was his name got fed up with Robert Reed always çomplaining. However he was back for Brady Bunch movies and specials up to 1992 when he died. But he was not on the last episode of the series. But the one who I believe is the worst would be Tom Cruise. Larry David is another. But Tom Cruise and Chevy Chase and Bill Murray are bad too. Billy Murray talked bad about a costar on Charlie's Angels Lucy Liu. He said she couldn't act. And he said the same about Richard Dreyfuss. And Brad Pitt said he would never work with Tom Cruise again. Of course Angelina Jolie is another hard one to work with. And Whoopi Goldberg and Oprah Winfrey. Anne Bancroft I heard was a nice person but she was mean in a movie called Homecoming.

"Complete Jerks?" Most of what I heard here was unsubstantiated gossip. So Bette Davies and Joan Crawford hated each other .. but they were professional enough to act together, and their feud began long before Baby Jane movie. Bette Davies forthright speaking cleared the path for many young actresses to follow on behind by helping to break the studio system.
John Wayne changed his political views. Wow, biggie. Born in the 1900s, you say he was a Racist ... shocking.
John Wayne was in his 60s when MLK was still fighting for the rights of black people in 1968. America was racist, not just John Wayne point your finger at the country, not just the actor.

Bette Davis was extremely professional actress. She was a person who put up a fight in Hollywood that was a very male dominated business. She was a survivor, and she understood that if you weren't tough in that business, especially as a woman, they would devour you. She was a woman who was a head of her time, who did not take the crap from men. And the big wigs didn't like women like that. Also, there were other women like Bette Davis who were survivors in that business. Also, she was extremely professional as an actress. James Woods was in awe of her professionalism.
