I served in the Navy in the 80’s. I respect your feelings about war. Mine have changed since then because of the sacrifice of the lives of young men and women. At times it is necessary. But, only when all else fails. Take care Ron. Merry Christmas.
Love the videos Ron, I stay up, as they drop at 11pm UK time and I look forward to them very much. Your relaxed talking, Missy the dog and general good nature helps when my PTSD is at it's worst, (about to be med discharged from the British Army). Thank you, and hello to Missy from Boris, my fox red labrador. Stay safe and warm.
Ron: Keep up the marvellous work & content, I can't wait to see what 2025 has in store for us all - sending the warmest blessings for a very happy Christmas and very prosperous and healthy new year.
Great episode, Ron! I agree with Martin's comment about the conning tower... you would think that it would be clear on the same side as the rest of the U-boat... oh well. See you tomorrow!🙂
Wishing you a happy Christmas Ron and to your family and friends. All the best for the new year. Looking forward to your Gold Wing adventures and the start of the Yamato.
Hi Ron, I think it would be best to paint 'ALL' of the normal parts and assemble them first and then add 'ALL' of the clear parts right at the end of the build. The Micro Crystal Clear or AMMO Mig Ultra Glue (or any of the acrylic white glues) will be more than strong enough to hold them in place and dries 'almost' clear... this way they won't get damaged or scratched and spoil the end result. Make sure the edges where the clear parts glue to are painted so the original colour of the plastic does not stand out... PS.... You can use TET to glue the clear parts (See Nigel's Modelling Bench) but this takes 'practice' and a very steady hand!
Agree! The words "nice" and "snow" don't even belong in the same paragraph. Darn. That Amazon package wasn't a challenge to open. Have to speak to Jeff about that. See ya. JimE

Maybe someone knows why it's on that side. 🤞

Hi Ron, you didn’t try wood glue and egg whites lol , funny how they all look like wood glue! Have a great day😊😊😊😊see you tomorrow
Nope! Forgot again Marc. 😁
I have a suspicion they are all based on white PVA
Merry Christmas Ron from NZ
Seasons greetings to you as well. 🎄👍

Was thinking what I was going to hear from Tennessee if I couldn't open it again, haha! 😁
Doesn't make sense to me why conning tower isn't clear on the same side as the hull 🤔🤯
Hi Martin,
There's likely an official expiation for that. Maybe someone knows it. 🤞
For clear parts I use Canopy Glue, it works fine for me.
I'll have to look into that. 👍
If you display the submarine with clear parts facing you no need for mirrors lols
👍
