I wanted to know echolocation (sonar) vs lidar. And is there is a way to convert reflected waves from the object to form an near image of the object with accurate distance
If you are interested in texture and color, use a wavelength that measure that. Optical sensors are ideal. If you are interested in objects, use a wavelength that resolve that, eg. mm wavelength. Oh thats radar. Radar works well outdoors because it is not influenced by visibility factors, but works poorly indoors. Lidar works well indoors, but is affected by many factors outdoors. Furthermore radar do not only measure reflections, its strength is actually measuring radial velocity, and currently measuring elevation as well as azimuth. Outdoor laser scanners typically do not resolve elevation. There is much more to radars, which is why leading car manufacturers continue to use radar extensively, especially at longer distances and for more robust applications, whereas cameras and optical sensors are used at lower speed, less critical and more entertaining applications. Its great that radar can be hidden behind bumpers on cars, sadly they then gets unnoticed to ordinary people.
@@davehart7943 I have had a look at the links. Those are mostly marketing material with no technical details. Still my statement about the physics behind the sensors remain undisputed. I know laser sensors have become better. Radar sensors have become better. My company develop laser and radar systems for transportation safety applications, so I am not favoring any technology (in general) but I believe in horses for courses. We prefer radar for example for collision avoidance on ultra size mining equipment, but we prefer laser for multi-lane cargo height measurement. The video however is biased towards laser.
Dude, if you gave Murphey an actaul dog treat (something made of 100% animal ingredients) then I'd be happy to hit the like button. I would even subscribe to you if you did something like that. So, stop shopping at Costco or Petsmart or grocery and instead go to an independant retailer in your area and ask for treats from companies like Smallbatch, Vital Essentials, OC RAW...anything that is made with 90% meat or higher and freeze dried raw. THAT is what Murphy needs. And actually, everything he eats should be a balanced, prey model, RAW MEAT diet. The manufacturers I listed above also make these diets. It is Murphy's best hope at living 30 years. I don't work for these companies I just advocate for dogs by educating the public whenever I can. A few other foods are Answers RAW, Bones & Co, Tuckers. A whole prey raw meat diet is a dogs only hope at living their longest life possible.
Your hearts in the right place but It comes off as pretentious. It would benefit your message to take a less 'holier than thou' absolutist attitude towards what is essentially a personal opinion about pet ownership and diet. As it is now your message (which I don't totally disagree with) comes second to the fact that you come off like a prick.
How does LIDAR work with fog?
Infared is on the opposite to xrays on the visible light spectrum. Didnt understand when 'high powered infared' was mentioned
