I'm a maintenance guy for a county agency and I use my 6 in 1 Fastback every day. If I'm at work, it's in my pocket, along with my 5"/125mm Knipex Cobras, Knipex 5"/125mm Pliers wrench and my Victorinox Swiss Champ that I have EDCed since 1985.
@@johnossendorf9979 . Malco is flip socket it's 1/4 bit drive it will go right in the 1/4 bit that's attach to Milwaukee fastback
This is THE best utility knife for edc. I just wish this one was a little thinner.
Bought one because I saw this video. Thanks, Nils!
Picked up this packed with the regular compact utility knife for $22 on Amazon. 10% instant coupon got it below $20. Heavier and sturdier than I expected.
I’ve owned a DeWalt one for a number of years. A bit smaller than those shown, but work well and you can get replacement blades.
I have a collection of Milwaukee knives and like all of them. In my opinion, this model don't beat the previous one simply because it doesn't stay open on a 45 angle. If you cut a lot of stuff with your knives, that angle makes a huge difference in comfort and hand fatigue. Nice video brother 👍 keep it up the good work.
My favorite knife to carry when I don’t have any other tools on me. The screwdriver works well. If you loose the tip your up a creek. No Philips/straight tips fit well. Haven’t been able to find a replacement
On a latest production, it comes with ball retained bit slot. Now it can fit any other 1/4in bit
You managed to show me 2 new things I didn't know you could do with the 1505! Well done!
You seem to be most knowledgeable UA-camr I can find. Searched all over for why my Ryobi battery charger is blinking RED before inserting battery, if I put a battery in stays the same? Thank you
I recently learned that there is a better bit for screws on electrical items like outlets and switches than the Philips bits I have always used.
Thanks for the great info. Also , thanks for making it a fun video to watch . 😀👍
Oil the pivot slightly on a new one when you get it. Watch out how you insert the slotted screwdriver tip back into the 1/4" drive socket. There is a really small retaining wire in there that can come loose, making it worthless. Other than that, it's a great tool.
Worked at dollar general as an assistant manager for about 3 years and my best finds were one of these a delivery driver dropped, half a blunt and 2 pre made buttery nipple shots someone dropped on their way to the lake
I got one with an another free utility knife and it is really handy the wire clip did bend a bit too far out one time but as was able to bend it back it just doesn't look as pretty. Other than that prefect I rarely leave the house without it.
I still use a small metal OLFA which I bought for school 40 years ago.
Thank you.
I like the dollar store hobby knives, they’re very flexible.
Tool for a DIY DIY is popular veriage on my reccomends today.
I went with the Fiskars. They didn’t have all the bells and whistles but more comfortable to hold. Especially for ripping down a bunch of material. I have no interest in my utility knife being a wire stripper or screwdriver.
When I first stopped drinking sugared sodas, seltzers tasted terrible. Once I got over being hooked on the sugar, though, I love topo. I realized it’s the bite and bubbles that I really like, not the sweetness.
I definitely didn’t get over it. In June I wrapped up my six months with no soda and we had a soda party at our house to celebrate. I’m drinking less soda than before now but not my much. I’m also staying pretty active and eating less. I guess I just like my soda!
Great explanation of that tool! I never knew about it. I love how easy the blade change is! 👍🏻☮✌🏻
Awesome demo! Thank you!
I love these knives. I have multiple of them around the house. One thing to note is that the bit is extremely difficult to remove with a couple of them. Actually need a pair of pliers to get it out. The rest can be easily removed with just fingers just like you showed.
Gracias
You listed the 1/4 inch for the driver, slotted, and Phillips and used them for electrical. Is it insulated or rated for a certain voltage? I do a lot of work on 3 phase and that could be so handy if it is! Thanks for the review!
Still, for $20, it's worth it for a good daily carry tool! FYI, if you don't mind a wait time, it looks like they offer several bulk buy discounts. Fastback and a 25ft self lock tape for $10 more stood out. Also some multi packs. Thanks again, I always enjoy your videos!
Good luck on your soda challenges! I’m over 12 years no soda (sort of)
Excellent review. I can see a need for me.
I agree in theory, but not that one.
I have four fastbacks: one in my truck, one in my travel tool bag, one in my toolbox drawer and one in my pocket. Three are the old school 1901s that they discontinued last year. I went ahead and stocked up when I found out they went all Prius and tiny with the new models. One is the 1502, which I had delivered before I realized they had changed the design. It is OK, if too small. All four have proper metal casings.
But that one you are holding in your hand there (0:04), that is the one they inexplicably chose to make out of Plastic...like the world wanted a Tonka version, or something. That one in particular, the one in your hand with the screwdriver in the back...that one is garbage. If that shop you are standing n is real and not greenscreen, find it's trash can and toss that plastic, wanna be fastback in it.
@@woodstream6137 The fastbacks are good. I have four of them (five, if you count the one I can't find). That one model that they chose to make of plastic is the only one I am commenting negatively about.
Looks like a good utility knife, just wish it had a 10mm socket 😂
Razor knifes quickly becoming utility knives. And I’m all for it. 😂
That made me want one . I’ll look it up on Amazon.
I put a link in the description for them if that helps. The regular listing is pricey but there’s a list of other sellers on the side with lower prices.
I feel like a meatball, not knowing the measuring tape hack. Thanks for the video.
Shoulda cracked a Budweiser. Lost opportunities.
You should know, TSA stole mine at the security point WITHOUT A BLADE. They will not let you take it with you
I've taken mine no problem, and they didn't notice the spare blade I forgot to take out either...
Hey Milwaukee has a new tape measure with a LED lite
I like that product... give me one ¡¡Please!! 😬 ...
I like the single blade version. It's thinner.
Awesome knife!
Retired electrician of 35 years and I don't believe I've ever even carried a phillips head screwdriver in my tool belt.
Looks like that's an all electrician needs to wire a house! I challenge a real electrician to make this THE ONLY tool they bring, and see how many jobs they can do and much money they still can make.
do you ever feel wierd buying 42 different versions of the same thing at the same time?
2:10 Topo Chico not a sponsor
Not a good idea to strip wire with any kind of razor knife as the blade will ring the wire and increase the chance of the wire breaking, causing a fire hazard due to arcing.
living in the UK i feel gipped for not having heard of Milwaukee before - closest we get a stanley knife
Sorry about you living across the pond 😂😂Just kidding!
I have a bro who lives near Cornwall. You guy’s have the best sense of humor!🇬🇧🇺🇸☮✌🏻
@@alanross3435 it’s like the text meme
“my thoughts and prayers for the brits living in the UK “
“Why is that?
“they live there“
Gipped ? Never heard that before. Love hearing the different terms. Like a plaster instead of a band aid... or bandage.
Wait. Or did you mean jiped. ( I think that's how you spell it.)
I think the term they meant was “gypped” which is derogatory toward Roma people. Best to use something different like “ripped off” or cheated, really.
Project Farm did a comprehensive review of utility knives and picked the Fiskars which I have. They are great. But they didn't consider versitility which I do agree these Milwaukees look good. I, however, don't just use one tool to do electrical. I have a complete tool kit for that and I don't want another multitool. I have found that multitools are good in a pinch but are not good in general. Which means you keep them in a car or backpack. I have a ton of these just collecting dust. I would not buy them again. To me, it's better to have professional or near-pro quality tools that are designed for a specific purpose. Also, I'm not sure I would consider that mark with the tape measure perfect. It's good but perfect is a bit too optimistic.
Mine won’t open like that
Use my every day
I didn't know spare blade stored there
No soda or coffee was the best thing I ever did drink lots of water
Try iced tea, iced coffee or plain water.
I have been drinking just water for the last month (we’re on month three of the challenge) and I feel like that works best for me.
@@LRN2DIY I drink soda all the time when I play sports. It's great. I wouldn't do it if I didn't play.
I don't like the location of the wire stripper, why bother if you have to open the blade to use it, might as well just use the blade, and when I choke up on my grip, the pad of my index finger goes into the slot and touches the blade, not safe.

To bad its not ambi I guess its a right handed world after all.

Do NOT buy Milwaukee utilitie knifes!!!!!!!!!! I have had 2, and both had lock failure within days of first use. They WILL fold on your fingers and give you a big cut!
Excellent tool! Don't spill Coca Cola on it.

I’ve seen several videos on this tool lately, as I recently purchased one for the first time. Once again you showed off new features and demonstrated them in a way jot done by other reviewers/videos. Thank you fans keep the videos coming!
