Man, I'm 73 and I love me some Aerosmith!!
This song never gets old, it'll be kicking ass 100 years from now.
True!!!!
Yope!
Same 😂
This song should NEVER start without that beginning line:
"Oh, good morning, Mr. Tyler! Going..........DOWN?"
Presented by the amazing playmate Brandi Brandt.
@@gregor_man Thanks for her name! I always wanted to know all this time.

The energy of the music from this era is incredible
Agreed!!!!
I agree too
hey, they are not that out : ARMAGEDDON is a great movie #ARMAGEDDON
I'm old AF. Remember the very day this premiered on MTV. It still rocks.

Crossroad, great Jon bon Jovi and Linkin Park with Chester....
I remember too. MTV , used to play many of the same songs in 1hr. Oh! Those were the days. It makes me sooo happy thinking about them.
Thats bad-ass!! I was a kid too
Tom's bass Hook is killer
Aerosmith is the best when it comes to having songs with no obvious meaning
WTF Lisen to it just lisen.
Are you serious? Maybe. But it has an exact meaning in my opinion.
Every song has a meaning dude

I think it would be funny if that little trumpet riff on the end was played by a famous trumpet player, but on synthesizer.
This is one of the most perfect songs ever made. The ending harmonizing part gives me goosebumps every time I hear it.
Agree. It's a perfect song. Not one single "off" note.

These guys are all such dynamic performers, especially Tyler & Perry. They write some fantastically catchy tunes and just seem to be having an absolute blast on stage! Rock n’ Roll needs more of this! I like the grunge era “downer/morose” rock too, but Aerosmith is rock n’ roll personified!
I read that a lil too fast and saw "Tyler Perry" and was confused for 1 whole second
@@essential67 Did Tyler Perry name himself after Steven Tyler and Joe Perry?
They're so fun and that's what rock n roll should be about. They've never grown out of that and that's why they're the superstars they are
@@WoodyWoodpecker1953 He's their love child.
Who doesn't love giant hooks, over the top choruses, and ear splitting crescendos. Tyler perfected the 'Dream Scream'
I never think of elevators the same after this song came out.
Especially when you push the DOWN button 😂
I never rode an elevator until this song came out.
west, g* that`s so political incorrect...
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I never thought of elevators the same before this song came out 🤣
This is such a creative song. There's a lengthy (and incredible) instrumental section, horns, trippy effects, and an acapella ending - and it's still catchy as hell and rocks damn hard. Aerosmith were incredible songwriters.
I love the way it seems to fade, while theyre still singing the chorus, then it keeps going with the instruments, until they come back at the end.
It was all perfectly choreographed.
Yes a point commonly forgotten in all the glitz and intensity!
Music in general has been lost....I miss long instrumental moments.....ESPECIALLY DRUM SOLO
The harmony at the end cured my depression

@@RustyCohle came out in 1989. BRO
One of their best songs. Pump confirmed that Aerosmith was back with a vengeance after some obscure years. This one and "What it Takes" remain as classics of late 80's american rock n' roll. A little glossy, yes (though not as overproduced as their 90s material) but full of sleazy, unadulterated blues rock. While Whitford and Hamilton provide a kinky rhythm section, accentuated by your typical hair metal bluesy drum pattern (though Kramer could run circles around his contemporaries) Joe Perry is melting faces with the solos and Tyler is giving his best performance in years. Always puts a smile on my face. Great times.
I remember seeing Pump in EVERY music store back then. It was a hot album. The producers that got with for that album were on fire 🔥🔥
True!!!!
The bass line in this song stirs my soul.
😁It's nasty he killed it
just introducing the line...
just listened to this on headphones, first time i've really heard the bass - amazing
2:10 to 3:40 - The introduction to the Break by a 'faked' transition between the first theme and the Chorus, then from the Break to the 'real' Chorus. Every single note played in that passage, the drums, the solo guitar and lead guitars, vocals... The mix between Blues, Rock, Hard Rock, with a pop funk bass line... Everything is just PER-FECT!
@StevenTyler887 HI Steven 🙂I am French, watching your videos from Brussels, Belgium! Thank to all of you for your inspiration and creativity, you have achieved great music, it contributes to make the World enjoyable!
This is such tight performance and songwriting, and still outshines most current audio productions.
A lot of today's music sucks cause the people making it only want fame and fortune. It was different for Aerosmith, even though they wanted the fame and fortune, they still were passionate about the bluesy hard rock that they made. That's the difference
The ending harmony of all of them in the mic gets me choked up
I know Right!!!!
one of the best popular rock songs ever. i never get tired of it. timeless.
It's great but I'd put Rag Doll up there for catchy, too.
me too i agree

Also just push play
Its not a song its a masterpiece

All Aerosmith songs are ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Aerosmith... Father Tyler, Perry, Witford, Hamilton and Kramer know how to masterfully create a timeless good rockin' tune.Pure awesomeness. Pure sexy rock n' rollin' greatness. My respects to all of them.

IF you like this style, check out Bad Boy Eddy from California. They sent me their album a few year ago, it blue me away. Very 80s = 90s rock style and original material :)
@@samanthaschofield743 what?
The funny thing is their first hit - Dream On - sounded different from any of their following hits. Also it took Run-DMC's remake of Walk This Way (with generous backgrounds by Aerosmith) to revitalize their career after things has considerably cooled for them.
I miss the late 80's and early 90's really bad and am not kidding.

The instrumental part in the middle is one of the best fucking parts of a song I have ever heard. Pure rock n roll!
One of the best things I love about this song, is that toward the end, the lyrics begin to fade and it turns into an instrumental of sorts but then comes back and ends on a strong note with the chorus once again.
The way they choreographed that is just brilliant!
Agreed!!!

Aerosmith has been making music since the 1970's ...They really peaked in the 80's and 90's..Great band, love Steven Tyler's voice it goes right through me.
truspider lucky, i was born in today’s crappy generation of untalented popular music.
Sooo many songs that came out in 88 89 sounded early 90s
I've been growing up in the 2000s listening to 70s 80s and 90s music

True
Perry & Tyler r as extreme rock'n'roll gods.
I saw these guys in 1997 live, during their Nine Lives tour. No other band that I have seen has ever come close to that show in Meadowlands Arena! Their opening song - Back in the Saddle, was so explosive!!! I remember it so vividly. They walked on the stage with a huge curtain and you see their silhouettes. And when the beat dropped, the curtain dropped and huge fireballs came up from the corners of the stage around them at the same time! Like I said, no one has ever opened with such energy like that since. Not even when I saw them again in 2001 at Madison Square Garden!
I saw them the same year at Glasgow Barrowlands. Fabulous!!
I’m a teenager and I love Aerosmith. It will always be a classic, it changed the world of music for the better. There are not many classic rock loving teenagers around anymore, but I’m hoping to make more people you know, be aware that ‘Ice Spice’ and all the trash artists out there are not the ones worth acknowledging, unlike Aerosmith, Queen, Iggy Pop, Black Sabbath etc are.
The guitar solo in this feels like it could go on forever
Absolutely Still Here ROCKIN OUT WITH AEROSMITH !!!!! 💯💯💯
Feels like being on rocking rollercoaster listening to this song
The bass chugging along is underrated in this song 🔥🔥🔥

Gotta love Aerosmith. They put on a hell of show live.
This is what I heard the last week Bed Bath and Beyond was in business, fits with the garage sale atmosphere

Stephen Tyler is an ammmmmmmmazing vocalist. I cannot imagine anyone else singing this song like he does.
I agree no one can sing the way he can I mean he is about 65 now I think and he can still sing just about as good as that
The late summer and fall of 1989 were nothing short of awesome. I was 22 at the time and life was on fire. So much fun. Party after party and having so much fun. I miss those days. Standing on the pier in Baltimore MD, this blasting from the house, smoking a joint with some friends.....the sun going down. Life was great.
Joe perry f*kin nailed it. That solo.

Happy Birthday Steven Tyler born on March 26, 1948. He is an American singer, best known as the lead singer of the Boston-based rock band Aerosmith, in which he also plays the harmonica, piano and percussion. He has been called the "Demon of Screamin'" due to his high screams and his powerful wide vocal range. He is also known for his on-stage acrobatics. During his performances, Tyler usually dresses in colorful (and sometimes androgynous) outfits and makeup with his trademark scarves hanging from his microphone stand. - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steven_Tyler

Need a time machine to go back to the mid 80s when MTV and VH1 showed music videos
It was a beautiful time. This was the 90s tho right?
When I was a little girl (5 little), I used to sing along and dance around to this in front of the TV. I was in love with and wanted to be Steven Tyler. Been a fan my whole life; mom had to blast Aerosmith on the stereo to soothe me as a baby. Had every album as a kid and a tye dye Monkey on My Back T-shirt, which I wore everywhere. Life has been down lately and I find myself turning back to the music(even listening on headphones as I fall asleep).
Thank you for carrying me through this time and for fueling the good days throughout my life. (Singing into my hairbrush before school)
