  • A bed of stone and a warm fireplace in a beautiful shelter under the rock
To stay and survive in the wild conditions of the mountains.
Using creativity and following the example of our ancestors, I built a durable shelter with only stone, soil and wood
Thank you for watching the video

70 yr. Old granny here from America. I like it. It ha potential for a lot more than a "get awsy" Good call on your part. I gotta say, your dog does indeed need a softer and warmer place to lie..( which I'm sure you already know!!)

The chance of the roof surviving a torrential rainfall is slim and none.

Extra credit for stealth! All you need is a piece of burlap rubbed with mud and the door will disappear.

If one needs a shelter would they spend all that time and energy digging and pounding a Sledge hammer, carring heavy rocks, or building an elaborate shelter? They will freeze to death, die of heat stroke or go to their homes. You need a place fast. I like your dog.

This would make an ideal Shepherd’s shelter. This countryside is obviously grazed by sheep on a seasonal basis. I would imagine it could get cold and wet at times and this construction can provide emergency shelter.
I don’t know if this guy is a Shepherd, but this shelter would make a good place to camp out with his dog on the weekend.

Yes, you are right, but these conditions were suitable for building this shelter to protect it in case of extreme heat or snow and rain.

It's certainly not a survival shelter. He has too many tools and takes no precautions about hurting himself all alone flipping those huge rocks uphill. Not even believable to a novice like myself. I don't need more hollywood crap...I need laymans terms for an old woman to survive a few days if a real diaster hits and I'm forced to flee. I'm old enough to be this guys mother, but, I could teach him a few simple lessons about real survival, not some guys you tube fantasy...get real...🙃😏

I love the area. Why don't people use the good old fashioned fire sticks? They work wonders on fire starting! I keep one in each truck and in my atv plus a good long knife.

The floor of your shelter was covered with rocks that had fallen from the ceiling. What will prevent more from falling while someone is inside?

These time lapse vids are amazing. Huge perfect hole excavated, lots of perfect sized and shaped rocks all piled up by the crew of workers that never make it on camera.

63000 views is not going to pay for a crew of workers. This is obviously a labour that took a number of days to do. It’s rocky country, so I’m not surprised he could find suitable rocks near by.
All of this is moot, however, the purpose is to create an entertaining video and hopefully, for him, to make a few hundred dollars if he gets lots of views and likes.
