Shalom. Todah Rabah for your beautiful and moving interpretation of the Mourner's Kaddish. I wish I could sing that well with that deep passion. It seems to rise out of your soul as you sing. Thank you again.
Hunter Holt I will pray for you, too, as the death of a friend, especially by suicide, can be devastating. My heart goes with you - take good care of yourself, please...
On ATTEND la fin de la pièce avant d'applaudir, MERDE, on applaudit pas tant qu'on entend encore le piano! (Magnifique pièce et magnifique interprétation, btw)
Very Emotional for me. As an aside I designed the original video and audio facilities for the Jerusalem Music Center in the 1970's when it was first conceived and inaugurated by the late Isaac Stern with the backing of the Rothschild foundation group.
@Dolly1366 I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my Dad some time ago and recently, my brother. I miss them both. The prayers bring me back and I know my Father, wherever he is, must be pleased that his guidance has stayed with me.

@@bababoozonkie5431 Indeed. It may be coloured by the fact that I play piano and know Ravel's works well... I can also totally see the piece working with solo voice only. Have you heard Ravel's equally stunning original version for violin and piano? Perhaps the piano works better there, because the violin is suggesting the voice of the cantor and leaving the listener to fill in the blanks: ua-cam.com/video/dhgdh_o53a0/v-deo.html
I found an English translation, but I don't want to copy it because it says it is protected. It is a glorification of God and the name of God, and a prayer that the Kingdom of God be established soon. Just type in words to Ravel's Kaddish in your browser, and you will find it, and you can click to see the English translation. I am awed by Jose van Dam's interpretation of it, and I knew it was about the glory of God even without knowing the words. I think it said it was from the book of Ezekiel. It is not the Kaddish prayer for the dead.
It was stunning until the last screamed word....I DO NOT like his vocal choice, it ruined everything he’d sung up to that last....whatever it was. There always has to be a reason, an intention, right? And I do not believe Ravel intended THAT. Listen to Jessie Norman sing it.
I'm mourning my Mother passing away last week...I'm Greek but this prayer moves me in my heart to our Lord. G_d bless you.
❤
Azi Schwartz's voice is a gift from the Lord to console the mourners.

Beautiful. I'm playing this in the violin and this will really help my interpretation. May Adonai bless you.
Gracias.
Plegaria por todos los que han partido.
Por los familiares que estan escuchando este rezo por los fallecidos.
Shabat shalom para todos
Avi's interpretation and crystal clear voice is very inspirational.
One of the most beautiful & moving rendition I've ever heard. thanks.
Quite moving and emotional! Thank you Azi for this performance.
So emotional.
Stunningly beautiful singing!I have sung most of my life and never ever this well!

It's a Hatzi Kaddish, not a Mourner's Kaddish.
The Mourner's Kaddish is never sung.
To have heard this performed live in Jerusalem must have been a profoundly moving experience.
What a beautiful prayer and a beautiful man.
His voice is pure heaven!!! Thanks so much for posting this and G-d Bless You asischwartzite.
Chanter avec coeur, émotion et passion, du tout grand Azi Schwarts!
So beautiful. Universally loved. Amazing voice.
The raw emotion that starts at 3:37 is an excellent ending to this piece. Great performance.
Toujours une voix extraordinaire, Azi Schwartz;
Todah rabah Ari. Ulai anachnu sharim beyachad beatid.
The best version on youtube.
Try to listen to Maria Ostroukhova interpretation
Profoundly beautiful, moving and comforting.
My friend committed suicide this morning and I am so lost and saddened by his sudden death please pray for him and his family 🙏🏻😭🕯

Far away, he found his place, in eternity. The peace you didn't have in this place. Peace and love.
I hope you're doing well. Suicide is always a big tragedy.

Oh, beautiful!
Great.
Émouvant merci God bless

the piano detracts rather than adds to the experience. amazing cantor.
I disagree. Ravel's piano writing is masterful, especially how he teases out the underlying harmony to support the singer.
@@tsessebe i listened again but i'm afraid we will have to agree to disagree :)
bababoo zonkie That’s why music is so fascinating. We are both moved by the piece but appreciate different things.

too slow. some listeners may die before he finishes. then he would have to repeat.
Не исключено, что оно хорошо для восприятия тех, кто оплакивает своих усопших/своего усопшего… - Меня, к примеру.
