I would have liked to have seen a comparison of the output from just putting in your original prompt to Claude, to see if the more complex prompt actually generated a better response?
100%. I am finding my time has switched from writing code, to writing prompts for LLMs to write code for me. So where I might of previously spent 1 hr to write code, now I am spending 15 minutes writing a prompt (including refining), 10 minutes tweaking code. To result in a 35 minute time saving. But I am becomming more aware of the value of good the prompts, and loading information that will help the LLM produce good outputs (full pdf books, definitions of database tables, relationships etc.). So any improvement in prompts is super important to me at the moment.
I've word for word put the original prompt into Claude Sonnet 3 (the free model). Here's what it got me:

Hey, if this method is getting you better results, awesome. One thing I've always liked about Claude since v2 is that I didn't feel like I needed promptcraft; that I could just converse with it, instead.

I was asking Gemini how to write prompts and it said to be positive and not be negative. I thought that is a strange response. Anyway, I read on, and Gemini explained that telling it the things you want or like in a response (being positive) is far better than telling me the things you don't want or dislike (being negative) in a response. So, THINK POSITIVE.
Gemini is horrible IMO. Since Claude3 came out I’ve been using it in combo with GPT4
Yeah, I've had to teach ChatGPT this when writing prompts for Dall-e 3. It's quite susceptible to the "don't think of a pink elephant" phenomena.
Matt, could you regularly publish a table of AI organisation by modality with each item being some form of judgement of support for that modality? This would help those of us who easily become confused by the shear number of app terminologies. A color-coding to show 'no support yet' through 'best in class' might be suitable. Many thanks. 😀

Was using Claude a bunch this morning. I hit a limit after 10-20 prompts though where it told me I had to wait 4 hours before submitting another one. I haven't run into this on ChatGPT recently.
This is exactly why I won't use Claude. Won't use Gemini for its racism / bias either.

Once I have a couple avenues of income going I can take the time to understand what I'm doing when I copy step by step, pausing the video with each step....to do this. Although idea generation isn't a problem for me (it's more like a curse...shiny object syndrome and such), but I assume this can be used for any prompt. I just discovered you/your website yesterday and look forward to having some time to devour all the yum you have put out for us.

Awesome video Matt! When the news came out I was considering getting the api myself for various workflows I have in mind. But I didn't continue down this path because I saw that the api isn't for personal use due their commercial terms of service. I also saw you tied it to the future tools organization. So unless I start a company I wouldn't be able to get this api right?

wait what? That´s strange because it was working for me and I am in Germany, normally it was like it either works for both of us or none of us when it comes to availability. And I did not have a VPN or anything. Have you tried it using edge browser?

Why can’t we do this directly in Claude? What is the difference between this collab project vs asking it to optimize in the chat interfaces
it has a system prompt, but you can attach that to the chat as well, but you have to pay premium for the model the API uses.
Has anybody ever noticed anything weird about Claude when they get a response specifically where Claude will speak in another language and say something completely obscure or strangely out of context as in I had a conversation with Claude and Claude, eventually threw in a word that had no context to be used. No reference to be used. Nothing to indicate this specific word in another language to be used in any way and then when I looked up, what would the reason be for a person to use this word in a discreet way? It had a lot of meaning behind what I ended up finding on that and I was wondering if anybody else has had any strange experiences with double messages
yes, but was while I was Claude Sonnet using Poe-chat, used some wired language I couldn´t even recognize which one that could be. Did you use it in playground with API?

Would generating titles/ideas as a 'series' of videos that pursue a slightly larger/longer term objective create more balanced, less hyped, options? i.e. Can Claude/GPT4 handle the lofty goalfocus ensures you're always growing "Matt Wolfe, AI tech authority" and avoiding "Matt Wolfe, wolf crier and click baiter" vectors.
Have you tried anything akin to LLM 'planners' with a feedback loop to see how it can drive content? You have enough subs that you could run some very interesting experiments with engagement strategies.

I'm a Gemini fan too. I like the responses I get, the way they are formulated and structed suits my brain.
@@tomthebadasscat Yeah, potential is there but still from time to time it just sucks. Image recognition constantly breaking, where he can't read. Sometimes even claiming he couldn't read the image, but the response gave away it was a "lie" he obviously have processed my image upload. And the plug-ins are not even beta, constantly getting conflicting issues, like loading the plug-in with @ wasn't working either at all or the result was meh, and then unintentionally got him to understand a UA-cam video where I didn't even provide the URL, just copy paste of the video description, which is crazy.
Matt I'm driving myself crazy trying to remember the name of a new extraordinary AI art generator I read about last week and for the life of me I can't remember the name of it or find it. I'm thinking if anyone would be aware of it, you would. The takeaways were that this art generator is far better at following detailed prompts than Midjourney or Dall-E 3, is much better at accurate text generation and is also less censored. It was recently launched, available for $20 or $30 a month and just closed some series A funding. The article I read showed numerous comparison images that seemed to prove how much superior it was compared to Dall-E 3 and Midjourney at generating art that matches your prompts. One example was a cat on top of a TV next to an astronaut with the word "Emerge" in the background. Would really appreciate if you could help me identify it.

I wish I could use the Claude 3 free version more, but that 20 prompts/8 hours is too restrictive. I don't want to spend another $20 to a questionably superior Claude when both OpenAI and Google are providing lot more bang for the same bucks (image generation, 2 TB Google One, various integrations). The marginal difference across these general purpose AI models does not matter much for regular usage, but the ease of use and integration with various productivity tools will influence the mass adoption.
Just create other accounts, i have multiple emails so its effortless, the only downside is that Claude won't remember your conversation in the other account
@@simonsanchezkumrich8489 It requires a mandatory phone number verification while creating accounts. Not sure as to how many accounts it allows per phone number to prevent abuse.

Actually, it looks like I have access to the API from Canada now, but not Claude 3 for $20/month with the chat interface.
Why are you not saying that it is only available in certain countries??
Because he's likely in the US and didn't get the warning like we did here in Canada. From the looks of things, it's only unavailable in countries that they consider to be problematic in regards to Authoritarian governments and their need for complete control over all information within their country, like here in Canada.
Try to use VPN to sign up to it. I did that before and used it since, I was locked before that.

I wonder how the AI interperpates a phrase like "make it as clickable as possible", surely that must be confusing...
ChatGPT 4 still seems to do better at editing essays and reports, compared with Claude 3. C3 struggles with organization and flow. Using the same rough draft for both, GPT 4 still produces a such more advanced product than C3. C3 definitely is better than C2 which produced awful grammatical errors and redundancies
Tried by just keep getting error messages in the Collab
that happened to me, too. Overall I had to go just step by step, carefully. First I noticed that there was no model (MODEL_NAME) in the second field. I had to make sure I had the right name of sonnet, since I'm trying it with the free one. I had an issue with the API not running right. I just deleted the one I had, and made another. That fixed that. Then I got it to work, but instead of generating a Prompt, it went right to the answering the questions. That's because the code is hidden for the Metaprompt, and I did not see that there was a play button there, too. I'm not a developer. Just someone learning to use AI. good luck
I'm not sure it helped, but I also added the GPT for Colab, as a Google extension. I then showed errors to Chat GPT4 to help me figure things out.
Has anyone built an app for this yet??

I've been making my own prompts with the same technique with the free chatgpt for months (mainly for images, but it worked well for many other things). I'm not sure this does anything new
