- The long awaited moment has finally arrived... After 1 month with my Honda CB125R 2021, I finally made a video showing the moto reaching the limit. I took care before making this video, respecting the initial 1000 kilometers of the engine, not reaching the RPM limits. Now, after the first maintenance done in my Honda store (check my last video), I finally tested the limits of the moto. This video consists of showing the maximum speed reached on a highway, through three different attempts.

Top Speed really means Nothing to me, I'm more interested in the general ride/suspension /acceleration in daily use scenario, Beautiful bike/colour Ride Safe! :)
It’s also my opinion… this bike is very comfortable tending into account that is a small bike 125cc the front suspension is very smooth and reads very well the road. The agility is awesome, and cornering is like you are riding a bike… and in long trips the overall bike is very comfortable ! The engine respond very well , optimally for towns, for highways tou feel the difficulty during overtaking. In general is a 5 star moto
@@ASFerreira could you comfortably do a 150 mile trip on it mixed roads?
@@stevo987 i did one trip with this moto, about 230miles in 2 days. What i can say is that after 2/3 hours riding you need to stretch your legs because your knees start to hurt. Its normal because the bike is small. However because of such small weight the moto is very comfortable when it comes to the corners … is like riding one bicycle!!! Overall the bike is good for small/medium trips. Long trips i do not recommend!

Getting back into biking after a 10 year break. Used to have a gsxr 600 and an sv 650s. Don't trust myself on big bikes anymore 😂
@@stevo987 ahahah well so you are a veteran that wants to start again into this world 😅 both motos are very similar in performance, choose what you like more or which is more cheap! Here in Portugal the difference between cb125r and the mt125 is about 600 euros… huge difference

Cool bike.I have Zontes U125.
It has 15 HP.I clocked same top speed.Regarding highway ride it can sit comfortably at 95 kmh to 100 kmh.I know because of sound of engine.Just 3 HP more would make big difference with a +1 front tooth sprocket.Then it can easily stay 100-110 kmh highway I think.

General question not specifically about top speed but I had the 2018 cb125r and it struggled with wind to do 60, what revs is this doing 60mph (100kph) in 6th gear? So just for average highway miles is it comfortable in the revs?
1 full tank between 250km and 300km.
I ride that bike and i would say about 8k rpm, It is very comfortable at 100kph (60mph)

Boas tenho uma dúvida, eu estou em 6 e quando chego aos 85km/h o sinal branco começa a piscar, estou a estragar a mota se andar com mais velocidade? Obrigado amigo
não tem nada a haver… o sinal branco só serve para alertar a mudança de velocidade. O sinal branco é ajustável até podes ajustar para ligar numa rotação mais elevada ! Apenas tens de ter em atenção ao redline , máximo 11500 rpm

Estou muito indeciso entre este modelo da cb125r e a mt 125. Com este novo motor achas que a honda anda tão bem quanto a mt ?
As motas andam o mesmo, têm a mesma cavalagem… podem divergir 2/3 kmh não é isso que vai fazer diferença… portanto escolhe a que te satisfaça mais pelo visual design exterior! E pela carteira… os preços são diferentes!
@@ASFerreira vi bastantes vídeos a comparar as duas motas e o que falam sempre é como o motor da yamaha é bom. Queria ter a noção se nota se assim tanto porque no pape parecem muito semelhantes e a honda é mais em conta
@@pedronovais3971 eu optei pela honda cb por ser mais bonita, por ter um jogo de cores mais atraente (dourado /preto/ cinza), por ter escape escondido e por ter uma suspensão frontal única no segmento 125, uma Showa big piston 41mm igual à da irmã mais velha cb650r. Para além de ser mais barata!! A escolha é tua!
Hoije em dia toda 125cc de topo de gamma bate ao menos 110 km/h gps em velocidade de ponta, o que é largamente sufficiente, sobre tudo se a idea primeira é de nao andar em auto estrada. Eu tinha uma Mondial HPS de 2019 e era uma excellente mota mas muinto desconhecida porque pouco pontos de venda na europa ^_^
Exatamente! não recomendo esta mota para andar em autoestrada! No entanto, para cidade e montanha (curvas) é espetacular!

Sera que com filtro desportivo e linha completa de escape akrapovic um exemplo, anda mais?
Filtro e escape vão-te dar aceleração. A mota vai ao corte nos 138 Km/h. Para aumentar o top speed tens que fazer isso que disseste , mas também meter um pinhão de ataque maior.
Se fizeres essas duas alterações não te esqueças de por um mapa de injeção adequado à linha de escape para dar realmente a melhor preformance possível!

@@ASFerreira Depois de alguma pesquisa encontrei um produto chamado "Bazzaz fuel controller", uma pequena peça que se liga ao computador e através do site bazzaz.net (para aceder é so procurar "bazzaz fuel controller" no google) pode-se fazer download do mapa desejado. Porem não tenho a certeza se já existe um mapa para a cb125r visto que o modelo mais recente recebeu mudanças na preformançe do motor, apesar de já ter encontrado um mapa para motas muito semelhantes como a cbr125r. Outra maneira seria levar a mota a uma oficina especializada para tal efeito e eles colocam isso e fazem logo o mapa.

In this video the moto is going downhill so its natural reach higher top speed than you (probably you try straight).

It was on a flat road, perhaps a tiny bit downhill.
at first I could only hit 83mph but on a better day i got to 85mph (137kph)
Maybe downhill it would get closer to 90?

Yes, i have 1.80m and it is good for me. However during long rides, the knees start to hurt! but you stretch and everything is ok.

@@cowala6361 sim os modelos antigos de 2020/2019/2018 têm a caixa mais longa! Não sei porque razão a Honda no modelo de 2021 introduziu uma caixa mais curta…

@@rubberfooty you don’t buy one moto just because of their top speed … you buy a moto because of the entire specs and design choices! Inside of 125cc category this CB already have the top horsepower 15hp so at the end of the day the moto will run more or less equal than for example mt125, duke or yzf 125r … it is my opinion

You can check it in the same video, the flat speed. Before going down, few moments before you can check the flat speed , that is around 125 Km/h

Não encontrei nenhum video aqui no UA-cam onde mostre o modelo se 2018 a atingir 145kmh. Podes-me mostrar?
Pois, também antes de comprar a mota só encontrei um vídeo a bater 132km/h, mas depois de a ter comprado fui testar e dá muito mais, tenho um amigo que tem a de 2021 e a dele também corta a 137/8, essa mota ganhou mais força em baixas rotações e perdeu em ponta@@ASFerreira

@@rodrigoabreu8642 só me estás a dar razão… o video que mencionas, mostra exatamente a mota de 2018 a dar 137/138. O que mudou a nível de motor foi apenas a cabeça do motor… de resto é tudo igual! E se a tua está a dar mais top speed, é porque já tem um pinhão de ataque com mais dentes! Que também posso fazer isso na minha se quiser! Agora escapes, filtros e afins apenas dão aceleração! Cremalheira e pinhão ajustam top speed

@@ASFerreira there is a bike in india. It's a Honda Shine. 125cc with a milage of 75kms and top speed is 110-115kms. This bike also has been proven to be very cheap for maintenance. For husqvarna 125 or Duke 125, I think the mileage should be nothing less than 50 to 55kmpl. Then it would have been the perfect bike the world needed.
@@ASFerreira there is also another bike called Hero Splender+ with same specifications but a air cool engine. Also above I should have mentioned about Honda cb125r along with husqvarna and ktm. Despite their premium features like the liquid cool engine, the mileage is very poor. I believe the maintenance cost and spare parts will be a bit expensive

@@pBruantt ktm and husqvarna are both with same engine (KTM), this engine is very problematic... search in the internet ! Japanese bike like Yamaha, Honda... their engines are much more reliable

You are wrong. Riding in the middle is much safer! Because you have 50% chance to escape from any obstacle that appears on the road. In this video I’m in highway so there is no chance to have any bus entering into road!
