These look great especially for nitro where it can be super fiddly trying to keep the car running and put clips on! Would these fit Tunder Tiger cars like the SSB, SSR, TS4N, EB4?
Yes these are really good and strong. They will fit all 1/10 scale cars so will fit the Thunder Tiger SSB, SSR and TS4N but the EB4 is a 1/8 scale so these will not fit. Thanks for asking.
Where do I find just the magnet? I got these off of ebay but one of the magnets snapped, and I measured and found it was 10x1 millimeter, but is that correct?
You cannot buy just the magnet. It would not be economical to send such a part as the postage fees and labour costs would outweigh any benefits. Best just to buy a new set and have some spares. rcscrapyard.com/body-shells-and-wings/magnetic-body-shell-clips-for-invisible-shell-mounting-20935461 Buy from my web site and get a free body clip selection as well !
Yes certainly. If the glue you bare using will Stick to metal then that’s a good way to stick the magnets. Here is a tip. I also use a hot glue gun to repair cracked or broken body shells. Use it on the inside and it works really well.
@@RCScrapyard do you know what I could use to help the black paint to stick because a sprayed my shell purple then left it then sprayed it black and the black paint is like ot won't stick to the purple
@@kenzie_drifts as long as you are using proper model paint ( ie Tamiya paint from a model shop) it should be fine. If you are using spray paint used for cars it won’t hold as it is not flexible and will crack off.
Firstly you don’t say what glue you used ? Superglue will dissolve some plastic and lift internal decals. don’t have to use glue, but if you do, use something like Evo stick contact adhesive.
Thanks for this video, I've been searching for ages for a good video and good magnets and you really helped me out!
will they fit 1/16 scale car?

Thanks for sharing Sir👍💯
Would you say these would be strong enough to hold a speed run car body in place?
Yes. The magnets are very strong and the shape of the car body ( causing downforce) will hold it in place

@@RCScrapyard oh right would I be able to spray over the black I have on with tamiar black or would I have to try and get all the black off

This glue has ruined my 1994 tamiya supra shell… gutted

@@RCScrapyard “This glue” meaning the one you used in the video
Next time use 3M double sided tape. No need to use glue and the magnets will let go way before 3M tape will.
