Exploring Saklikent Canyon in Fethiye | Muğla - TURKEY

Saklikent, meaning "hidden city" in Turkish, is one of the deepest canyons in the world. Saklikent Canyon is 45 km from Fethiye district of Muğla.
A deep canyon was formed when the waters easily eroded the limestone land where the fault crack is located. At its narrowest point, the width decreases to 2 meters and it becomes impossible to see the sky.
Strong karst springs welcome you at the starting point of the canyon. You cannot stay long in the water that comes out of the mountain with very cold and high flow power. When you progress a little, you start to take a comfortable walk in weak and warm water; until it reaches heights of 2 meters. It is very difficult to cross these places without the help of someone else. When you pass these obstacles, a small and beautiful waterfall greets you.
