I had one of these- they're surprisingly capable off-road! Sure, they're no rock crawlers but they can do a lot stock! If you get a lift, skid plate, and AT tires it's even better.
@@jonm.678 the are good for rock crawling around Pennsylvania I surprised those Jeeps 4 runners and big old Fords 😂 I conquered Bald eagle State parks off road 4×4 trails
Sand can be tricky sometimes, but your car is 100% capable, I have lots of beach adventures in mine! I would highly recommend going with someone who can help recover the vehicle in the sand when going for the first couple of times though
@@Chase_Schrader yep… I owned a 2004 2.0 XT from 2007 to 2012… drove all over Europe… beach to snow with mud in between, it never missed a beat. Got back to uk & sold it to my Dad. 12 years on & this week he’s decided today to scrap it 😱 so I’m taking it back for resto. I was just browsing UA-cam looking listening to that Boxer. 👌
Not a bad way to get your feet wet in offroad driving. Obviously these Foresters aren't going to be able to do as well as a true 4wd, especially if it has any lockers, but you can learn a lot driving a less capable vehicle. 👍
Hi, I checked it out because I always like supporting small creators but I think there could be some places for improvements. I would suggest maybe trying to tell a story with your videos and using multiple shots to do that! Best of luck!
@@Chase_Schrader This was a good video! I love the scenery there. It reminds me of where I like to go camping. Look up Yellowbottom recreation area in Oregon (here are some pictures: www.google.com/search?q=yellowbottom+rec+area+oregon&sxsrf=ALeKk00wARRXRug_TBc3IMVsyUjoMzS-GQ:1621794253505&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwia_oKztuDwAhUlJjQIHaJ1AwcQ_AUoAnoECAEQBA&biw=1830&bih=957 ). That is where I like to go, I go out in the back though, not in the main camping area. I have lots of secret places I go there. There is alot more water here, but you get the idea. I love the videos. I look forward to the next one. :)
Thanks! It is such a nice place that is close to home! Sweet, that place definitely has the PNW vibes. Hopefully I can get out west and get to some of our lakes out here. Thank you, I appreciate your comment!!
Wellll considering it is classified as an off-highway vehicle trail that allows non-registered vehicles by the entity that maintains them, it is offroad but sure, draw the line where ever you see fit...
What should be the first modifcations to the off road Subaru Forester?
Great video! We have an Outback were fitting steel wheels and Kumho Road Ventures on. Maybe a small strut mount spare kit
Thank you, there is plenty more on the channel! Awesome, that’s sounds like a nice build!

Right! I may or may not have some of that on order haha

Sounds like it was a great car, glad you could get it back to its former glory!
