The first customer teams to take ownership of the new car included series like: BelCar, Dutch Supercar Challenge, VLN Germany and the Italian/Spanish GT Open. With new teams, names, sponsors, and drivers, the Z06R looks even stronger for the new season.
The Z06R went on to claim wins and propelled Callaway to claim the first series title win for the car: the 2007 FIA GT3 Team Champion and the 2008 FIA GT3 Drivers Champion.

To me the c6 was peak Corvette. Perfect mix of old school and new.

The C6 generation of race cars was by far the best sounding platform from GM and overall. That's for both street and race form! Great video and love the new intro as always, every year!

I love all of your videos, Belgian Motorsports, but I'm afraid that the graphics are inaccurate. The LS3 V8 is normally 6.2l in displacement (and was available in the base C6 Corvette), while the LS7 V8 is normally 7.0l in displacement (and was available in the C6 Z06).
Yeah that's an LS3. Callaway Cars makes the C6 GT3 (I could tell by the wheels) and they list the engine bore matching the LS3 of 4.060in. the LS7 was 4.125 in.
@@a.revolution961, since it's Callaway, I was hesitant to make a definitive statement regarding the engine origins. I still find it odd that GM only ever competed in GT2/GTE/GTLM with the Corvette, and that it always took 3rd parties to build a GT3 variant.
All the specs that I found said that it was an LS7 engine.

@@Belgian-Motorsport, LS7 should always be a 7.0l (or larger, if bored/stroked). Reduced stroke LS7s are extremely rare. The LS3 is 6.2l.

Great work well done again, I’d love a go in a C5 or C6 LM spec car. Always remember the C5R from Gran Turismo 3.
Some cars mix with each others exhaust notes, but you can always tell when its a c6.

LS7. This engine was mounted in Corvette Z06 opposed to the 6,2 which was in basic Corvette
