I'm 57 and I'm extremely proud of being an Army.. I've raised 7 of my own and sometimes feel like I've helped raise the guys😊.. My kids think I'm crazy but the guys and their music make me happy, so they're happy for me💜💜💜💜

As a Greek army I am sorry for the first one. Most of Greece is extremely behind in most subjects, including inclusivity. We Greek army's are very sorry. That woman was not only hating on main but she also gaslighted everyone in her response. The reason she called her statement a "joke" is cause racism of all types is extremely normalized around here. Kpop infact as a genre is hated to an extreme extent. Also homophobia, asian hate and all types phobia is acceptable and even encouraged in some cases. Again, from all Greek army's we are sorry.

Kpop is not a genre, but an industry. BTS is their own genre.
I am a 57 yr old grandmother who happened to discover BTS during the pandemic. They have been my lifesavers because my depression and anxiety were so bad. Their music 🎶 and lyrics are uplifting, positive, kicking my butt right out of the black hole, my mind, body & soul go to hide from the whole world 🌎
I love and appreciate them so much, that I joined the Army. Yes, 2 of my kids think I'm a Lil nuts but who cares. I worked in our local middle school so I've always had my hand on all of the new music and artists because of the kids. It's how I connected with them and being the administrative secretary for the vice-principal the kids needed someone on their side, someone they trusted, could count on. I was that person and they knew I would never betray them.
BTS IS also the only Kpop group I list to. NO ONE can take away my love and respect for these young men. The hardships and heartache they share with their fans who fight for them when something is not right, some serious shi$. BTS and Armys share a Neverending love that goes well beyond artists and fans. We both genuinely care, love and want the same things for each other and if these IDIOTS weren't so blatantly stupid, actually took the time to listen to their lyrics they WOULD UNDERSTAND THIS!

it’s annoying because most of the time, when these people got called out and try to “apologize”, they won’t even take time to realize/own up their wrong doings and give back-handed apologies instead. more so that they consider their remarks as “humor”. and the fact that they are supposed to be “professionals” !
I've always said that when you apologize for doing something wrong you should never follow said apology with the word but/however. Those two words cancels the apology because they are not accepting fault whatsoever. It's the same energy as "no offense BUT..."

Jungkook is literally the most beautiful man I have ever seen. The inner and outer beauty that exude from all 7 of the BTS members, brings so much healing to many, many people around the world. I'm 33 and became an ARMY recently, I fell down the pleasant rabbit hole. I haaaaaaate when people say shit like "they're for 15 yrs old girls". Most of the accounts I follow on twitter are ages between 25 - 60. I'm honestly not surprised that there are people like this around the world and that's sad if you think about it. NONE of these actions and words from these people are not a surprise, that being said, I am so happy that ARMY and other kpop fandoms came through. Thank you guys 💜

Sabastian, thank you for making this video. I am a relatively new fan since the beginning of lock down. I immediately recognized BTS talent and came to discover how hard they work and the meaning behind their songs.I have spent quite sometime in the rabbit warren learning about their early struggles and had heard of the racist comments, but I had no idea how bad it was. I had also heard about "toxic" army but I now applaud how they immediately rise to the boys defense; although I can not condone death threats . It is 1 a:m and I wants some chips!!

Isnt it amazing how the most positive, inclusive, accepting group of people who spread their message worldwide are seen as such a threat by the worlds media. The same media who are happy to exploit them for money and viewing figures/sales . BTS have had to fight this crap from day one and constantly have this sort of lunacy thrown at them! Its coming to something when the worlds broadcasters are the biggest proponents of racism!!!
I hadn't really heard of BTS until I watched a carpool karaoke when they did that crosswalk concert. I have since the watched a TON of videos on them. They've put in so much hard work...blood, sweat and tears to get where they are today. I liked CNCO back when they were a 5 member group. They could have just left the interviewer hanging after saying they liked what BTS was doing instead of mocking them. If the shoe was on the other foot there's no way they would like someone making fun of them. In the end though these 7 guys from South Korea deserve everything they have gotten and more.
Rather than being angry, I'm just let down to the point that I can just laugh at their stupidity. ;-;
And, funfact, I have anger-management issues, [ I've been working towards not getting angry easily] , so, me being so disappointed that I don't feel even 10% of angry is so damn rare.

I am German and I was SO EXTREMELY mad when I heard that with the radio show in Bavaria! I think even non-German speakers can hear it, but he said these words with SO much vile and hate in his voice. The first time I heard it I was just speechless and then I just got very VERY angry.
And the “Apologies” after that were even more infuriating, because he didn’t apologize, he basically said “I am sorry you are offended, it was just a joke”. Also the fact that other German hosts and wannabe celebrities supported what he said and “protected” him made me rage.
After that he even said more stupid shit about BTS and Army on Facebook. I am so happy that he lost his job, deserved it

As a professional, whether you're the one writing the script or the host reading it, you're expected to do your research on the topics you are presenting. You're also expected to know the pronunciation of all names in the script because it can get you and the station in trouble (like in this situation) if that person or their fans get offended. And while I understand that pronouncing Korean names (if you aren't used to it) can be hard, BUT it's very easy to look up the pronunciation of any of their names and find a 10 second video (or shorter) on UA-cam for it.
But clearly, from the way all of these hosts act while they're broadcasting LIVE, they are not professionals.
Same majored in MC, even attended a professional school for Presentation. And hell yeah. It is mandatory to screen the names before the show so as not to mess up. Tbh, in some situation the host might be sued for getting it wrong fr. They def are not professional.

I think back to how i thought it was so strange that my 5 year old daughter religously watched and listened to bts on her ipad. Knowing full well they never spoke a word of english and a majority of their songs are in korean as well. But she loved them nonetheless. Until one day I stumbled upon subtitles and english translations to their songs and I could see what they stood for. That their songs were not about hate, violence, race, sex, drugs or egotistical things. Their music spoke about mental health, love and loving yourself. They speak on so many issues that many young people face and for that I am appreciative of them. I now consider myself ARMY. I watch many episodes of the 7 members, and I see their different personalities, brotherly affection and love towards each other, that gives me great comfort. They are just like you, and I. Not only are they beautiful people but they are great rolemodels! I am so saddened to hear such hateful remarks towards them.

I am 61 years old and I've been a fan for 6 years now. They make music for healing and it's helped me through so much. It's like these idiots criticising your family and Army stand up for family.
I became fan of BTS in 2015-16. N believe me I wanted to protect them because they are so pure. I usually don't fan girl celebrities. However, bcz of BTS then i was able to distract myself from all the sad emotions i used to feel without reason. I introduced them to my family n they said they are little kids n girlish. After watching few even they became huge fan of BTS.
Unfortunately this kind of shit will not stop. They have been experiencing this their whole career of people petting them down and making fun of them. Apologies are never enough and BTS always sees this stuff and probably more that we don't know about.
