    I did have the same problem as other users below have experienced. I resolved the problem in the end. I recommend you experiment with inserting the screw in offset connectors to the back of the shower valve, before you screw them to the wall outlets.
    You will see that the connectors can be inserted until you feel initial resistance, but you need to push the connectors further into the valve from this point and they will provide a good seal where the O-Ring ends up. The screw thread used to secured the connector in place will then be inline with the widest point of the connector just before it reduces down to the 1/2" thread section.
    The instruction booklet also suggest the use of plumbers grease around the O-Ring which is a good idea but not shown in the video as far as I could see.

    Similar problem here in the UK. Just had one installed by an experienced plumber and water is leaking in exactly the way described by Michael above. Looking at the instructions at the URL referenced above they have been followed correctly.
    What is so tricky about installing this mixer?

    Only cold water is coming out. The warm water supplie is working but it is not coming through.

    Hello,
    Is there any video about the cleaning of the shower-head 360?
    I actually don't manage to unscrew the middle screw and thus am unable to clean it.

    Hi. I have also bougth raindance select but if I had knew how much time I have to use to install it, I would have bought something else. I cannot get rid of the leakage but I'll give it the last try today.

      +Hansgrohe I contacted the support team in Norway. They directed me to the dealer. I did so but the only response I got; " IYou have to have it installed by a plumber". I did not contact a plumber. Instead I bought a "normal" thermostat which fits excellent and of course it was not from Hansgrohe.

    I have the exact same problem: water leaking between wall and shower box.
    Connections should be ok, but its hard to check since there's no way to lock up the 2 shower box connectors.
    Too bad, for an otherwise very fine product. :(

    Hello, I have a problem whith thermostat on this model. I use it more then 2 years, but now, when i set middle temperature 40 C, I have very hot water, actually not 40 C. Is this problem with thermostat (maybe it was crush?) or problem with temperature settings?

    This thing is leaking, whatever I try results in leaking...
    Also, don't let it slip out of your hand cause the glass breaks easy :(

    Have this product now for 8 years. We have a lot of lime in water. So have removed it from wall a couple of times to clean the filter of the hot water entrance. Initially, the raindance worked perfectly and a lot of warm water was coming out but it was getting less and less. I am now at a point where there is barely any pressure anymore when I turn on the heat. Such a shame for an expensive product like that.

      Having same problem recently it’s because of lime right, did you clean water way somehow?

      @@SamAlexanderSupertramp Yes, caused by lime. There is always a lot of built up of lime on the thermostat. You'll have to pull the knob and unscrew the right side (where you set the temperature of the water).

    Hello, i personaly love this product. I had bought it 8 years ago. But now i have an issue as i can't get any warm water out of it. Any idea how i can unstall it to try to repair it ? because the 2 screws below are completely blocked!

    Dieses Steckpatent ist wirklich nicht so gut. Zumal auch der Montageplan istwas verwirrend ist. Letztes Jahr Montiert und jetzt undicht. Alles abgebaut und festgestellt, dass eine Dichtung (29x3) gerissen ist. Leider ist uns auch die Montagehilfe (Der Griff zum Ausrichten) abhanden gekommen. Bin etwas gefrustet gerade.

    Ich habe dieses Thermostat seit 10 Jahren. Nun ist es wohl verkalkt. Die Temperatur ist wenn man auf kalt dreht, immer noch warm genug zum duschen. Meine Frage, gibt es eine Anleitung oder besser noch ein Video wie man das Thermostat auseinander baut und entkalken kann?

    Hi, I have bought brand new Ecostat Select, but could not install it as had exactly same problem - water leakage. Followed exactly installation manual, spent 3 hours, but no success. Had to install the old termstat back. Very nice product design, but very disappointing. .

      Hansgrohe Dear, thanks I have finally manage it and it looks/works fine. It is really crucial to put grease/lubricate rubber O-rings, then it is possible to push the termostat to the wall outlets. Once this is clear, it is easy. I would recommend to Hansgrohe to update installation manual as is too brief in my opinion. Pls put more pictures, diagrams etc.

    okay, so it is REALLY important to use the grease in the box or soap if you don't have the grease.
    Now my mixer is not leaking anymore, but sadly the glass is still broken :'(

      Hi Hannes, I have the same problem too... I found the grease, but how to use it? Just around the O-Ring? I don't think this can work since the water presure is so high...
      Can you share some experience?

      The grease has to go on the rubber so that it glides well

    Ich habe mir letzte Woche den Hansgrohe Ecostat Select Duschtermostat gekauft, da ich endlich mal etwas hochwertiges haben wollte.
    Leider habe ich bei der Montage exakt die gleichen Probleme wie Uhehn und Michal. Das Wasser spritzt zwischen Armatur und Wand heraus. Ich habe genau nach Anleitung, die 38 mm eingehalten. Beim aufsetzten der Armatur fühlt es sich aber so an, als ob die Gummidichtung nicht richtig in die vorgesehene Nut rutscht..
    Ich bin sehr entäuscht von diesem Produkt.
    Ich hoffe auf Antwort und Hilfe

      Hansgrohe Hallo, leider habe ich schlechte Neuigkeiten. Nach ca. 2 Wochen nach de Montage, drückte wieder Wasser zwischen der Armatur und der Wand heraus. Da ich im Urlaub war, hatte ich das nicht sofort sehen können und das Wasser ist in die Wand eingedrungen. Somit habe ich jetzt eine feuchte Wand, wo der Putz anfängt abzublättern. Ich habe die Armatur abgebaut und mir eine Andere mit normalen Anschlüssen ( Überwurfmuttern ) gekauft. Eurer Steckpatent solltet ihr nocheinmal überdenken.

      yours products are beautifuls but they mostly make me lose time and money! Concept of your products are like in level of Ikea. Actualy I have huge pain to install ecostat for bath, and matris classic i didn't never need call technical suport for any others products as Grohe, Fantini....all what you support told me is put a silicon fat at it! you kiding me? if you have lazy sore engeneers in your developing office you will close your activity soon. contact me and pay me for pragmatic fedback if you want.
