I’ve been playing very casually for the last 10 years (wow it’s been that long?!) I can bend notes and tongue block and do all sorts of stuff. I play little riffs here and there. I need to start to concentrate on playing something that just keeps going. I’ve watched lots of your videos. At first I would get frustrated because I couldn’t just play something, make “blues music”. Now I just keep a harp on my belt in a leather case I made maybe 8 years ago and just play when I feel like it, and now I just look at it as part of the journey. I can totally agree with you on it getting you through hard times, god knows I’ve had more than a few! Thanks Adam!

    Actually happened to me,
I always wanted to learn harmonica as a boy but I never got the time to.
But when adulthood came and my life's getting steady and boring, suddenly I remembered that I wanted to play harmonica, and it actually makes me passionate again somehow.

Easy peasy, I already mastered the hand vibrato and working on the tongue blocking right now, later I'll expand to three hole draw technique, she's very happy so far, thanks for the tutorial, it works.. :)

Glad to see you are still making videos! I learned the basics of harmonica about 9 years ago when I was 18 by watching your "Blues Harmonica Secrets Revealed" videos on UA-cam. I have not been practicing regularly, but I have had tons of fun playing harmonica with my friends and myself. So thanks and keep going!

Thank You Adam for the Videos that you make for Beginners. I am not looking to learn because I am going through tough times or anything like that it's just that I have always wanted to learn to play. You would think I would have started earlier in my years but I am a Gold Metal Winner of the Procrastinators Award , but I know it's never too late to start. I will be doing several lessons a day and I hope to be play the Blues really soon. Bringing The Blues back to West Texas.

Hi, what the cause on harmonica when a reed sounds like some rattles attach to it, could the rivet holding the reed be loose, or does it just happen?

  • @lindajones49

I been playing for decades just watching others to expand my techniques. I can bend those draws are not as easy as it looks. You can use higher end stuff too. Singing into it best way to play if you know the words to a song. Holy Spirit taught me to play its a healing ❤️‍🩹 instrument.

I picked up a harmonica too 40 years ago. I got most of the mechanics after a year and could pick out any tune, but it still sounded like morse code. Back then there was no UA-cam (or even VHS.) Despite being a big Blues fan, I concluded I was just too white and gave up. Adam is giving me the motivation to try again.
