CABOOLTURE RIVER FISHING 1ST JUNE 2024

I had a Friday trip up to the Caboolture River to do a little bit of fishing and a little bit of crabbing. Fishing was terrible but I ended up with 3 mud crabs.
One went to my mother and two went to me. It is always good to catch a crab or two.

John, mate , I know it sounds crazy but I tried pike eel in asia. . cut into thick steaks an fried, they are to put it simply , really delicious. I know , i know i was raised to hate them too. but I don't throw them back any more.

I tried eel when I was in China - not sure if it was a Pike Eel - fried was ok - boiled was rubbish.
But from what I have read - I am not putting a Pike Eel in my boat while I am there.
