Important clarification point: This unit does not have front wheel brakes. The hand brakes are stronger than using your foot, but they control the rear brakes only. Again, there are no front brakes. Higher end models from different manufacturers have a front brake as well, which makes it safer for going faster speeds.
Great vid, thanks. I have seen that most people recommend 7xl over town 9 ef (the previous model, vol2 is quite expensive lol). What do you think? Is 7xl difficult to fold? because as far as I can tell the main advantage of town9 is its folding system
Great video. Thanks. Does the suspension really work? Would you prefer a scooter with 200mm air wheels instead? Such as the micro flex air 200? Cheers.
Thanks. Yes the suspension really works. I didn’t mention it but demonstrated on various surfaces. The bumpiest was the wooden bridge in the video. I definitely prefer this setup vs air wheels because of my intended use over mostly smoother terrain. These would definitely provide less rolling resistance than the micro flex air. If you do a lot off riding on dirt, bumpy surfaces, cobblestone, the air flex would do much better. For those surfaces, the smooth wheels this scooter has can be dangerous.
Hello ! Do you think, when folding/ unfolding, that we really need to unlock the left metal piece, or pushing the right one is sufficient ? because it works for me without touching the left one, so I am a bit lost.
another review with music only, sure if you test the scooter in the store its noiseless but what about street conditions etc.. these scooters can get really loud even if the roud is a bit bumpy
This one is not bad. The heavier the scooter, the less noise. Town 9 EF v2 is better. Quietest are going to be soft wheels, air filled wheels, soft rubber wheels at the cost of rolling resistance.
@@MikeMu a colleague jumped onto it while it was on its stand (big snap) then my housemate didn't listen to my protests as he focused it to fold away (another snap). Its been a long day XD
Town 9 is built more robust and structurally rigid. I would not recommend riding these in wet or winter conditions. The wheels are really slick (makes them fast), and making a fast turn in wet conditions would be dangerous.
The XL is better. But the newer Town 7 EF v2 is best out of the 7 series for me. It's more stable, folds up fast. But it is heavier and more expensive.
@@MikeMu Yeah I mean Town 7 EF v2 in first place, but I'm afraid that he is little bit slower than XL and without suspension, does suspension make a big diference? Nice video btw :)

Very happy with. Worked as well as i expected

I would still do it for safety reasons. But I've caught my wife riding without doing properly locking stuff and still was OK.
Seriously AWESOME!

Awesome I’ve ordered one gr8 video
Will the wheels cause a lot of vibrations & noise when riding on rough surfaces/ tiles? My current one gives out loud noises when riding :/
Its fairly controlled because of the suspension system. Keep in mind these are still solid rubber wheels though.
@@MikeMu Thanks. have a good one, mate
I have that scooter guys it is very nice and there js no sound when you ride it buy it
Heya, I'm looking to replace the fork in my 7xl Town. Any advise?
Wow. Did you break it in a crash? Or stunt riding? I’d contact Decathlon and see what they say.

Are the wheel spokes made of metal or plastic?
This one was metal. Our local decathlon closed so I do not know if they changed the wheels.
Why is the town 9 more stable than the 7? Are these scooters good for wet conditions or winter conditions?

That’s a proper holster
I never leave home without it.
