Thanks as always for the video/content Mike! Very cool show and tell lol, I watched since you launched this channel, don't think I ever actually saw inside of the sockets focus area before! Cool stuff, thanks again my friend! :)
Interesting issue. That flyback didn't half go KABOOM!!! Convergence is something of a real mystery to me. No matter where you place those rings, it's never right, ugh!
Mike thank you for your contribution to the hobby. I have a mortal combat 2 cabinet. The WG7000 monitor inside is missing everything on the back of it…the chassis , neck board. do you happen to have a chassis for sale or know where I can find one ? Thank u
Another fantastic video, Mike! Thanks. Looks like there had been a BBQ in that neck socket. Would love to see a video of you performing a color balance and working on convergence too.
Not sure about the answer, haven't watched it all the way, but I had one do this because of some oxidation on a couple of the metal connections in the neckboard that connected to the neck pins. Had another one with horrible bent connectors inside the neckboard plug.
Mike, amazing. Literally just did a k7500 fly and having similar focusing issues. Here's my question! I have a handful of tubes now on k7000s that are generally kind of dim, even after adjusting flyback, brightness and contrast... some new flys, some not. I don't have a rejuvinator.. Is there anything a smuck repair man like me can do to help breath life into these montiors? Or am I stuck hunting for more tubes? Mint channel dude!
Hmm. There is a mod involving changing a resistor on the neck board that will increase heater voltage to breathe a little life back into them but I can’t recall the exact details at the moment. I’ll see if I can find the info. Thanks!
Uhhh rare problem explained. Thank you!

Takes a lot of patience and practice!
Amazing demonstration of skill and knowledge, but this video should've been about 5 minutes long.
