  • i love small towns. Used to fancy myself a city slicker. Not anymore. Anyway, some people might not think of Maryland as being a state home to lots of small towns, but it is. We have lots of down home, country time, beat up boots, cornfields, old pickup trucks, fishing boats, cheap canned beer, gossip at the local diner, and tons of churches.
    Sykesville has a historic main street, so it does have a slightly touristy aspect to it, but it's also a legit small town. The Main Street is only a few blocks, and after that, it's old houses on hilly roads, old churches, lumber stores, old auto shops, and that's about it. But it's quaint, and i love it.
