At one point Shack even says "I wish I could get more power..." Seriously?!? Sometimes I'm amazed at how oblivious he is. It's infuriating, yet I still watch his videos.
A cold beer, some snacks and Shack playing UA, sounds like a good evening. Love Grey Knights, they are so deliciously op in an universe that is build around stuff that is op.
The thing is, nobody against the Inquisition survived. They're still secretive as nobody could say that the Inquisition was even there. Ignore the civilians, they wouldn't last long.
Couple things to remember about this faction: Your first two Urban Centers should be given the power upgrade. Power is alot harder to come by when compared to Req, and those two Urban Centers will help fix that. Build two Librarium's. One should grab the Tomes, the other should grab the unit upgrades. Build a second HQ ASAP. Each HQ gives you access to five Urban Centers, allowing you to drastically boost both your resource income and army size and cap. With two of each Urban Center type, you should get a 40% boost to both power and requisition generation, about +10 to both of your pop caps, and however much resource 60 of those civilians ive.
So, those space marine's built 2 HQ's because it allows more power gnerator's to be built. You could have easily done the same, Shack. I mean, you also get 5 more Urban territory too that way. Basically a must late-game, as you noticed. Side note: You can have 30 workers per Urban Territory. Just set them to auto-build. 50 Req is all they are. :)
@@plink4861 Power Generators and Urban Territory's (the last for inquisition only) are limited in number per HQ you have. So, mid-game, it is incredibly advantageous to build another HQ. The AI knowns this, and is one of the reasons that Shack, for instance, has such a hard time playing harder difficulties, since he doesn't do this at all.
Good vid. As a person with no PC and a desperate interest in this mod, please continue taking your time to learn the new stuff. Unit descriptions and details keep be breathing.
As most people have said if you make more HQs you can build more power plants. For the inq specifically, they worker territories are the best because they give everything the other four do and more, just take longer (and more cash) but you were floating thousands so....
[INTEL] Shack at 18:17 urban territory cap is based on how many HQ's you have. build more HQ's to increase your generator and urban district caps. that's why AI like Space Marines likes to build multiple command HQ's
Watching shack play is always the same you get to the point where shack has 7000 req but only 100 power and you tell a screen to build a second hq for 6 extra generators. Still fun tho.
i had the a lot of fun and struggle in this when i was playing as the inquisition against 4 demons on the apocalypse map. the 4 ai were on normal, and i won in the end, but it was a freaking massacre. :D Same goes for the battlefield map, as imperial tank brigade with 3 allies, fighting 4 renegade tank brigades on hard. SOO MANY Superheavy tanks and glorious 12 FPS! Cogitator almost overheated even with superior processing power for this ancient piece of simulation-software. Its absolutely amazing what this mod can offer a fan. Play by the lore = have the most fun imho. Maybe get W4sted to play orks against you at some point? :P
@Gore4ever FulciLives Yep. And those flocks. I forget the name. But they're one of the weakest troops for the Tyranids and they're available very early, but they mob the fuck outta you. The last time I played I turtled up half the map (it was a 1×1 but very resource rich) and started pumping out both kinds of Space Marine Terminators. All fully upgraded (with Autocannons or Thunder Hammers bases on type, as well as all the health, damage, etc upgrades, and even those awesome shoulder mounted missle racks the regular Terminators get), with Sergeants and either Medics or Standard Bearers (mainly Medics) on each squad, as well as the Force Commander, Chaplain, and Librarian, and even some static turret defenses. Then I began getting the vehicles (Predators, Land Raiders, and even some Whirlwinds, that would back them up so I could push in) and suddenly this MASSIVE HORDE of almost all Gaunts and those flyers absolutely SWARMED me. They would take forever to kill off even a single Terminator, but because they just kept coming my morale kept getting broken and they started drowning and dragging me down. It took a long time, but they slowly wore me down like water on rock. I desperately tried to hold them off, even nuking them, but eventually I was beaten. They started to bring out Carnifexes and other higher tier Nids over time too, but it was disgusting how they're low level troops could overwhelm my best by chipping down my best units through morale and eventually dragging them down.
I main Inquisitional Daemonhunters in UA and they are a blast to play. I would say they are a fairly low skill requirement faction, as frankly whatever Grey Knight unit you deploy is able to take on pretty much any equivalent unit. Glad to see you experimenting with them, they're a pretty unique faction and if their endgame ability is literally an Exterminatus.
This faction isn't the entire Inquisition, but the Ordo Malleus, especially the Gray Knights, specialized against Daemons. The Sisters of Battle Ultimate Apocalypse faction is the Ordo Hereticus (anti witch), and there's not an Ordo Xenos (anti alien aka The Deathwatch) faction without additional mods.
So after watching this I hopped back on ult and tried inquisition for myself. All I can say is goodbye imperial guard hello my new main. Also exterminatus is officially the greatest ability ever And as the bodyguard said “It is merely a matter of Faith.”
One time I alctually had a legitimate reason to use exterminatus. I was playing IDH vs chaos space marines on a survival mod combined with UA. I had a wincondition set called “heroic defense” and all it said was “players must face against insurmountable odds to win” and they were NOT kidding. The enemy was able to spawn 2 bloodthirsters every 4 minutes straight on my front defensive line, and it took everything the IDH had at their disposal to hold them back. Not to mention the extra troops that would join the bloodthirsters every wave. I couldn’t do an offensive push because there was no limit to how many bloodthirsters they could spawn in, so I was forced into an exterminatus. Be careful where you drop it, because nothing, including your own, survives.
*a faction that lore wise is all about its hero and highly trained specialists....requires you to have their hero's* "BUMMER!" *yet still won't buy a hero even though they don't take up cap points* The frustration is real the more I watch this xD
Read the tooltips, especially when playing a new faction. For example, the Grey Knight's Teleporter serves as Tier 1, which is written clearly on the building description. This is why it took so long to build, and why your next research, "Tribunal of the Inquisition" seemed to come so early. More HQs allow you to build more power generators and urban buildings - another thing that can be read through the tooltips. I understand that it's a new faction, but if you just took the time to read the descriptions, then it would make things much easier and you would learn the mechanics of the game.
"I wish I could get more power;" "The main issue in late game is not having enough power;" "Why did they build two command HQs?" Because the AI understands that multiple HQs allow you to build more power structures... That has been true ever since this game first came out, and it remains true in the Ultimate Apocalypse mod. You've even said in your videos before that this is the case. Why don't you remember?

It seems each of the civilian buildings for the Inquisition can hold 30 people in each which might show a far more significant effect on resources and population caps.
It does, but the citizens take time to build up and cost resources. Ive found its good to get the hard boost from a focused upgrade early on and as you roll out and get more ground for another com center you focus citizens.
Can this faction get access to the Deathwatch? It would've, thematically, made more sense for an Inquisitorial Strike Team to use them rather than the Grey Knights when fighting Tyranids.
Have you ever considered doing a video or Stream of the Strongholds mod? It allows you to play through the stronghold missions from the campaign with any of the Vanilla factions and some of the modded ones.
I think I have said it before, but my one problem with the music is that is triggers content ID when uploading youtube videos. Not sure if you have that issue, but I had to play it with music muted to avoid triggering it. I have also noticed the build sounds for the inquisition are a tad on the louder side, though that was on an earlier version. Not sure if they toned it down a bit in this update. I tend to get the maintenance servitors quite early on. They are helpful for accelerating base construction, and can switch to repairing predators and land raiders while assaulting an enemy later. Then again, I am not a great Inquisition player.
He is a little.. and he really wants to play the Rebels again, and so tried a new format in order to barrel through the campaign as fast as possible. I havent had any problems with the ai not doing things. If the game starts to feel easy, raise the difficulty. it makes a huge difference in this mod.
@@tiredturtle9514 Ok thx for the feedback !
Got to learn to build more HQs so you can build more generators and urban areas.
How do you build multiple building at once? I can only do one at a time.
You can also build another hq and increase resources. Not that you needed it.
