Hello! I have been doing butterfly nail art tutorials since 2011 and this one was easier finally LOL! Technique matters just like anything we are doing here together with nail art. I wish I had the help to have made great looking tutorials from the beginning but what I have come to learn and believe is that we all have our own path with unique strengths and weaknesses that teach us what we need to learn in our lifetime. For me, its been social media and learning to trust my voice and my experience in extreme adversity. My talent came from practicing this art for so many years that it finally "clicked" for me and I became successful in an industry where most give up the first year and never make enough to pay their bills. I want to pass this for ONE purpose......no one did it for me. I had NO mentors in this craft. The industry (the school I went to and paid a loan to for 15 years, the brands I bought from, the owners I worked for, never showed us how to be successful)
ART is what paid my bills, supplies and my booth rent but, I had to fight for it.
To see it now so open and beautiful is a true blessing. However I still read thousands of stories about the struggle that I still see with my own eyes.
We need LOTS of good artists out there IN THE SHOPS....there is a place for everyone, but we need artists KILLING IT in the shops so we can ascend and make nail art strong and real in the BEAUTY INDUSTRY. The nail industry is worth BILLIONS and you deserve to be honored for co-creating in this art form.
Stay strong. Know your worth and practice, practice, practice your nail art and you will never need to worry about your career and how high you can go, it is unlimited and you can soar financially and creatively with or without our industry having your back. But, I know if we come together, it will happen faster and bigger and it will be so amazing and this is where 'i' have to be patient and true to ME...dont give up and I wont either! I love you guys!

Incredible!! I absolutely love your designs! I am terrible at nail art myself but your tutorials give me hope that maybe one day I can get it right! I do have a quick question, the paints that you used instead of polish sometimes, would those damage real nails? I do not use acrylic nails myself as I do not currently need them as my natural nails do the trick just fine, but would getting a design with acrylic paint weaken my nails or would it be just fine?
You are putting polish on first and then putting paint on top of the Polish so it never touches your natural nail. It does not harm anything whatsoever and then you top coat it with a clear top coat so it is sealed between polishes. Consider it like the middle of a sandwich. Thank you so much, painting this on Natural Nails is enjoyable and it only gets more fun with time!

Shari Campbell I try not to endorse a product because everyone has their favorites but, I use dazzledry I'm at top coat for this design. Any Matt coat that you love will work. I know that NYC makes one and I know that wet and wild has one as well that are both very inexpensive and fun to use if you are a beginner.

These are so pretty! I do love matte nails. Just something about them. Smooth looking. I just received some neon acrylic paint (my first neon paint, I usually use neon polish) so now I'm itching to go and use them...all of them lol! You know me, love me neons 😁.

I laugh every time you lay down a color and go oooooh like you are so impressed with the beauty of the color. That's one of the great things about nail art you can do a hundred designs the same way they're never going to come out the same and they're all different and beautiful. Too funny 😂😂😂

What should I charge for nail art
whatever you want. if you start losing clients, its too much. if you feel overworked and not making ends meet, not enough. its up to you and your experience and expertise where you live etc. everyone is different and it takes time and patience to get a great clientele who will pay top prices so dont get discouraged!

😘😗I was laughing while you was saying it! Now you truly know if I did come across as nasty I really wasn't as it truly shows I still watch all your incredible work! I wish I could afford all the tools to try and create as beautiful art! However, I am disabled and live month to month on a check! But my 41st birthday is in April 16th and I'm determine to try 1 of your designs on my nails!! P.s. I've looked for the video how do you remove excess polish with your finger? Lol mine don't work lol😂😘p.s my disability is scoliosis and I didn't state it for sympathy! I am blessed and your designs shows i maybe in pain but it doesn't have to be perfect! I'm blessed to walk and do most things but the pain makes it hard to concentrate. Makes my nail work look sloppy! However, I'm still determined!😁
haha....i work so fast that it is still super wet when i go over it. but, if its dried on, i clean it up with a piece of paper towel dipped in acetone on the side. little beauty sponges work GREAT if you get lots of hairs in your work. :D
Venita H I can totally relate ....im on an extreemly tight budget as well ...i love doing nails so i get much of my nail art stuff off of Wish App ....it takes awhile to get what you order however the price is right 😊

Absolutely fantastical Mani!😃. I wish you had done this to mine. And I mean I WISH you had done this to mine... I had my first "pro" mani ever last week. It will be my last, too... Last week I was in the shower when I slipped. Something I have always been terrified of doing. I ended up flat down on my back outside the bathtub with my legs caught over it... The shower curtain was underneath me, as well as the shower curtain rod. When I do something, I always do the best job possible... And believe me, I did a fantastic job here tearing up the bathroom. I still had the shower head in my hand, and water was making it clear up to the ceiling... Poor little Sunshine didn't know what to do. (She wasn't alone there...😱). She had the good sense to bark her alert while she ran to get my pain meds... My husband came to see what all the ruckus was about... I had resigned myself to having to lie there in my "altogether" until ambulance techs could rescue me... Luckily, I was also lying flat on a bath mat, which my husband managed to pull out far enough so I could untangle myself and turn over and crawl out of the mess... All to the still frantic barking of my terrified dog. In the process of falling, I managed to mess up my left ribs, matching my previously injured right ones. And I added a neck injury, too. But Sunshine brought me pain meds, so I didn't hurt too much for too long...😃. Since my nails were in horrible shape, I decided to let a "pro" fix my nails... Now... Sighs... She immediately took the clippers to my long natural, beautifully rounded nails and put a square cut 3/4 of the way down from the free edge... It just got worse from there. Yep, I sure wish you had done this to what were my beautiful looong natural nails... Smiles!😘🐾🐾🐾🐕💕
