- The Barrett M82, standardized by the US Military as the M107, is a recoil-operated, semi-automatic anti-materiel rifle developed by the American Barrett Firearms Manufacturing company. It is used by many units and armies around the world. Despite its designation as an anti-materiel rifle, it is used by some armed forces as an anti-personnel rifle. It is also called the Light Fifty for its .50 BMG (12.7×99mm NATO) chambering and significantly lighter weight compared to previous applications. The weapon is found in two variants, the original M82A1 (and A3) and the bullpup M82A2. The M82A2 is no longer manufactured, though the XM500 can be seen as its successor.

OSV 96 better No1 , Barret may be 15
Not really. They are both perfectly adequate for the mission profile they were designed for. The OSV-96 is theoretically slightly more accurate (although the fact that the bipod is attached to the barrel may negate said theoretical advantage anyway), but neither the .50BMG nor the 12.7x108mm are precision rounds, so 3 MOA is about the best you can expect out of either gun. Which is fine, they aren't meant for hitting high value personal at long ranges, they are made to blow up radar installations, or fuel dumps, or go through light armored vehicles. The Barret M82 and OSV-96 are essentially identical in weight, range, accuracy, and reliability, I don't consider either to be the "better gun" as both do their jobs just fine.
@@NuclearFantasies I recently sighted in someone’s m107a1. Must’ve got a helluva a barrel because five shots in a row were touching each other at 100 yards. The owner was extremely happy.
No way that hunk of junk costs $10k. It's like 6 pieces and a couple of bolts haha
I asked for an AWM rifle video
This is fit in anti furry video
ahh the Barrett simple, beautiful, deadly and because of the stupid Australian government i cant legally own one and even with our gun laws there are still bad people running around with guns and shooting people.
except since the new gun laws in australia there have been no mass shootings
@@toadprizes there were never really any mass shooting to begin with. Even without mass shootings gun crime is still a problem here. It doesn't matter how many laws you put in place criminals will never follow them. Even if you did manage to somehow ban all guns to the point that criminal can't even get them they will just search for something else and there are things far deadly then guns like a dirty bomb or getting a truck and ramming crowds of people that is especially dangerous here in Australia since our trucks are pretty fucken massive two trailer combinations have been popular for many years and three trailer combinations are becoming fairly popular now.
