"Collective" legacy burdens as a teen makes so much sense! Thanks for coming up with it!

Thank you so much for this conversation. So powerful & moving to hear of your story, and how you are using IFS to heal those parts. So wonderful to hear from Dick, founder of IFS which is having such an impact on our 🌎. Thank you both so much. 🙌🏼🙏💕

I've been practicing Generational healing for a while. This sounds like the same thing. It really does relieve a person but I have felt my ancestors come into the room with me as I'm healing emotion especially and afterward I feel all their thankfulness and gratitude.

Since all the present violence in the world today. I was thinking that so much of it is caused by all humanity not accepting all these parts of ourselves. Instead of us looking outward for our answers to look inward..

What an amazing experience for me to be able to witness. Thank you both Der An and Dick. Such powerful real-time and amazingly tangible concepts that are so full with history in this one session. Thank you from a therapist Intern.

As a therapist I've noticed more of my young parts coming forward at home rather than at work, during this Covird-19 time.

There's a joke: "How do you center a therapist? -You put a Client in front of them." :D

Yas!!Yes!!! Collective vs my legacy burdens allows all of them to be seen and actually start to listen. Individualism to granddaughter of holocaust survivors to codependence to adoption. I appreciate this conversation!

Where do I find a therapist to do this with. It would be so much easier to have someone at times help me with this!!

The IFS institute has a therapist directory, there should be one in your state.

I’d love to hear if any IFS therapists or clients have facilitated a racist legacy unburdening with a person of that specific race.
And I’d just love to know more about legacy burdens, it’s really calling to me in this moment in time. If anyone has any reading material or resources about this I’d appreciate your feedback. Thank you!

You can try this podcast called IFS talks, specially Mike Elkin and Ann Dinko, they really talk in depth about it.

I have a part that wanted to know more about that "you gotta be always strong" protector. My parts said that she got bypassed a bit at the beginning. (I'll do my own U-turn here, too.)
