My fiance and I are finally getting married after 13 years together. It was a month after our 6 year anniversary that I popped the question, 2 months later I was diagnosed with Leukemia. This song is PERFECT for how I feel, because with our her," God only knows".
Date is set June 22. I have little surprise from love... I've booked an 8 piece swing band who has agreed to let me sing this song with them! Can't wait!
Although, with all the excitement of our wedding another date is set...one which includes my bone marrow transplant at Sloan Kettering.

I'd always thought that Carl Wilson's vocal was unsurpassed till I heard this. The respect for the song and it's legacy over so many decades is present in every line Michael sings and in the wonderful arrangement. Possibly the only 'crooner' ( I hate using that phrase) that can nail the American Song book classics while being equally at home with pop and rock. A true master of his craft. Amazing!
Class act. This is how an arrangement can show respect and pay homage to a classic that has lifted spirits for 50 years and will do so for another 50 . A stunning rendition .

Today I found out that my grandmothers cancer had returned, the doctors thought that they had gotten rid of it after months of therapy. My grandmother played piano for her church and did so till her body wouldn't let her anymore. She is an amazingly strong woman, and is very passionate about her music. Today the doctors told her she has 3-6 months. I know this is a long shot but one thing she love is your music. It would be amazing if you could give her one amazing last few months by just one phone call or one skype or something. I just want to try and do this one thing for her. Thank you

He had a vocal cord surgery. I thought we will have to wait for a new album longer than we did. Glad he recovered so well.
IceCranberry why do singers get a lot of vocal chord surgery? Like it happens a lot with singers, is it the singing that causes it? Cause i dont find any other explanation. I always thought Michael had such strong amazing vocals and the thought that he might not be the same anymore is very sad to me.
As a singer myself I can say that singing can make you lose your voice if you are constantly using it. I'm in no way professional as Michael so I imagine it is even harder for him especially if you have a lot of concerts back to back. It is best to do a vocal warm up. (I'm sure Michael is doing it tho)
