- The trendy people are telling us that looser fits are "in" and I am hesitant but intrigued, so I am trying a bunch of jeans from Amazon and Old Navy! I have loved skinny jeans for so long, but after trying a few pairs of looser fitting jeans, I'm not sure if like the tightness of the skinnies anymore! I feel like the looser fits are tricky, so I went ahead and ordered a bunch to try them on and see if I can convince myself that any of them are worth keeping and won't remind me of middle or high school when I wore these styles the first time around... Goodbye skinny jeans! I never loved them anyway. In fact, it took me several years to finally get brave enough to wear them. I’m SO happy they are going back to bootcut and flare. I haven’t tried Levi’s, but now I need to! As long as they have a 28-30 inseam for us shorties. I thought the first old navy pair looked really good on you. And I LOVE Kut from the Cloth. Those are some of my favorite jeans. Great video!
I was surprised by the Levi's because I think of Levi's as being really thick and non-stretch but these were pretty nice. It took me a while to get into the skinny jeans too, and this is another adjustment 😄

Kut jeans have always been my favorite. I say wear the boots you feel most comfortable in. Both the low heel and high heel look good. One is for casual, the other for dressier occasions. Just my opinion. Keep making the try on videos please.
I think you're right, I just have to get used to the casual boots with flare/bootcut look but it's growing on me 😀
The #4 jean looked fantastic on you despite the length. I would cut off the excess material and make it the length you want. Then you’ll have a cute jean with a rough edge. I’m 5’1” and find myself doing this a lot because I’m in between regular and petite.
I just have a hard time cutting brand new jeans! I may try to find that one in a better length, I like that it is just a boot cut.
I like getting them secondhand because you'll know how they fit and hold up after being washed and worn several times and you shouldn't have to worry about excess dye coming out when you wash them.
Yes! I love thrift shopping for that reason! Unfortunately the closest thrift store to me closed their fitting rooms. I still just try on some clothes over what I'm wearing but it is hard to do that with jeans!
@@playingthemomgame Definitely! It's a bummer when thrift stores get rid of their fitting rooms and then only give you store credit if you have to return something.
I was just at our thrift store and talked to the cashier about it. She said there was a lot of theft! That is too bad because the honest people just want to try stuff on to be able to buy it!

I do agree!! It's hard to get used to the wide leg!! I feel it does look clunky with some jeans!! Although your taller than me and you can wear alot of the jeans!! 😊👍
I remember getting used to the look of the skinny legs too, and always thought my feet looked so huge haha!
Not showing the butt so we can't see the pocket placement makes picking jeans hard.

Yeah, I missed the back side but hopefully you can see that in the product pictures for items! I remember thinking I would never wear tapered jeans and then eventually skinnies were all I wore! I wonder if I will start to think that again?

Yeah it is hard to know what will fit you until you actually try them on! Oh boy, an Amazon swimsuit haul 😳 can you imagine?? I actually think that would be a really helpful video, I mean I would watch a video like that to try to pick a suit, but I just don't think I'm quite ready for that yet 😂

Stumbled on your channel never heard of you. I was doing some jeans research. All of those jeans look good on you. Truth be told you can wear them with the timberlands or the gangster boots as your kids call them and everything looks fine. I can relate to the calves pulling up and you always want to push them down with your foot so yes, those are all the door for me as well. I'm not a flared jean cut fan. I don't know why they remind me of cowboy jeans, even though they look cute on you, I think I'm built similar to you. They would probably look adorable -- I just like a straight leg. I think the classiest pair of jeans on the planet is kind of a loose fitting straight leg. Would look adorable on you with a mid to high-rise.
I also like loose fitting straight leg. But not too loose haha. I am so picky but if you have a good pair of jeans it makes a huge difference I think!
A boot cut can look great scrunched on the top; the back should cover the heel. Be prepared to have ragged hems.
Geez, Im just not ready to go back to flare legs..... it reminds me too much of highschool..... (im in my 60s....) you looked fantastic though... and yeah.. i dont know what to do about shoes either..............
I wore the bootcut with those boots, but now that it is summer, with sandals it just looks like high school again! I don't know! haha
