I love how even though it tells you the manual is written by the developers it is HEAVILLY implied that in universe the toads wrote that pretty neat little detail
I'd like to think they had an extremely small time to work on this and they had less staff too. Like in an interview Miyamoto apparently took people from Mario Kart 64 to work on Mario 64, something like this. Maybe it was just a side project... Gah, looking at the concept art for the 8th Quintilian time just now made me think of this.
It's interesting that they had less generic designs for some of the characters but made them more generic on the end. Wonder why. Huey's early form Inky is cute , although I like the design they went with. Also , why is all the inky concept art sad? I wonder if the reason they didn't do the black paint by itself because they couldn't think if anything. The concept doesn't look that cool , although the bowser with the Cape looks awesome

Well if the hotel opened in 1816, the elevator could've been installed between 1854 and the late 60s since the first elevator was in 1854 and that bell was gone by 1970. And there are no stairs so when passenger elevators were created, they must have added things so there would be no chance of a fire and replaced the stairs with the elevator and did a few replacements in between.

I'm honestly really disappointed that the rock paper wizard was originally going to have a more concealed look, with one design even looking like a lantern ghost, but they later decided to change it to just a toad with a dumb hat. It ruins the whole toad reveal at the end as well, not like that would have been that good anyways.
