I also spray my roses with a rose scented perfume. It will enhance the beauty of your roses and your customers can smell of them and see you've really went all out to have a quality item to sell them. And I refer to my roses as "Silk roses" or "Forever Roses". I don't like labeling them as "fake" or "artificial" because it deminishes the value of the roses in people's minds. I've got more roses coming from Temu in red, burgundy, pink, purple, and champagne color. I've also got more boxes coming in different colors. I'll be putting them together next week. I'm making bows myself for the front instead of just tying the ribbon up. It gives the appearance of a higher value. I did actual bouquets last year....88 of them. I'm not doing the bouquets this year bc of the arthritis in my hands. I've worked as a florist before years ago. The whole week of Valentine's Day is WILD!! 😂 We were making both silk and fresh arrangements as fast as we could with delivery people coming and going from 7 am to 8 pm, plus walk-in customers!! It's a madhouse!! This is a much more calm environment even though we're in "crunch time"!!😂😂
@24Klaw Customers walk up to my tables and I notice them " " "sniffing" or acting like they smell something. And I'll say "Do you smell my roses?" And they just light up!! Then I show them my rose bouquets and show them to smell and they WANT THEM! Sometimes if a customer is hesitating about buying a bigger basket, I'll say to them "How about if I throw in the roses to go with it?" And it pushes them right over the edge!! 😂. They leave happy with their gift basket and roses!! And I've made a return customer out of them because they'll remember those roses smelling so sweet and that I "made them a deal". Last year on Mother's Day, I sold a Victoria's Secret basket this young man by offering him the roses. He came back 30 minutes later and wanted to know how much the roses were. I told him $10 for the 3 rose bouquets and he bought THE REST OF THEM I had.... 8 bouquets!! 😂. He said he got in his truck and it smelled so good that he wanted to buy some for all the women in his family!! 🤷 I only had about $2.15 tied up in those bouquets and I sold them for $10 each. That made me a $64 profit off just the roses, besides the basket profit! That paid for ALL 88 bouquets I had made!! 😂 We gotta make it "do what it do"!! 😂🤷
