Hey I just learned that this is actually a remake of a Belgium Netflix series from 2016 called “Hotel Beau Séjour”, so if you’re curious as to how it would have continued you can look at that for an idea.
This is kind of the same plot to the Swedish movie THE INVISIBLE (2002) and its American remake from 2007. Also I just learned that this show (“The Rising”) is actually a remake of a Belgium TV series from 2016 called “Hotel Beau Séjour”.
I cant for the life of me remember the title but there is a similar plot series about ghosts in their highschool. That they can't leave because they died there.
This all makes no sense, she can throw things, opening doords, taking a shower but even this nobody sees.... anway, all these TV shows will not be continued, always cancelled after 1 or 2 seasons.

The girl also discovers the truth about a woman who went missing years prior (who happened to be her stepfather’s first wife) that Michael had killed her for rejecting his advances. A crime that his brother (the motocross coach) helped to cover up. Also it’s revealed that everyone who is able to see her spirit have all had near death experiences before in the past.

The dad did it which is why he's trying not to see her.. due to all the guilt. She's back to haunt him for rest of his life.
