In this video tutorial, Joshua Casper uses almost nothing but Audiomodern's incredible line of generative VST plugins to sketch a deep house track. Chordjam for the Chords and Progression, Riffer for the melodic synths and melodies, and Playbeat for percussion. It is truly inspiring what can be done with this line of plugins.

If Riffer cannot be made to work with the guiding of the chords, it can only be an idea generator for a starting melody. It can't fit in anywhere further down the beatmaking pipeline. Link the 2 so they can work with one music theory brain like the Captain plugins. That's the only way Riffer can reach its full potential.
Audiomodern apps all have rhythmic emphasis without much melodic sophistication - perhaps because Playbeat 3 was their anchor app. There are lots of other apps that apply more rules based melodies. And I suppose new A.I. apps will take generative melodies even more is a true musical direction. I appreciate this video - I’ve been curious about using all the Audiomodern apps together….
Sounding great, Josh!
Looking forward to this 💯👍🏽
If somehow the genre from Chordjam could influence the Riffer melody and rhythm of Playbeat then this would be next level.
Exactly my thoughts too. 👌🏼
@@vanhaze2000 Hopefully it's on the roadmap.

I hoped to see these functions in Live 11, but I was mistaken. Thanks for a video.
Pretty cool... this would be fun set of tools to play with. I wish it was slightly more of an attractive bundle offer though...
👍🏾🔥👍🏾 I'm not surprised about this video dropping lol 👍🏾
Logical step and well worth taking said step :) - JC
I love them too.

nice!
agreed :) - JC
I found chord and melody generators useless, but drum machine is awesome of this company.
Airdrawndagger vibes
where did that Ableton theme come from?
I don't remember where exactly, but it's called "logic". If you search Ableton Live Logic Theme, you will probably find it :) - JC
Thanks for the video. I know some people will get value from this, and I do respect the effort put in.
I purchased this set as a package and have been underwhelmed. The playbeat is weak with regards to daw integration and not a patch on products like XO it even the midi out of Reason 12 players. It's ok for some limited uses, but for the live play sessions I want to set up, not worth the cost. That is a personal use case and opinion, and not a reflection of how others may end up using this.
Joshua, are you really happy with what you came up with?
Riffer going in scaler something else
Most generative plugins do not ingest the valuable insights the producer already has. They only generate. Is there software that allows the producer to input their own insights and guidelines for the AI Generation, so that the generation is within a locked context?
So the conclusion is: "Don't".
Those aren't chords.
Absolute snoozefest..but to each their own!
I hope they paid you well because those plugins are garbage. Especially riffer 3 ... idk how trash 1 and 2 were and they kept making another one.
