Hey man, thank you for watching 🙏 I may sound biased because I have one, but I have also rode quite a few ADV boards, around trails etc, not just a quick go up and down the street. I honestly prefer the ride feel on the xr frame. Even from a GT, too. The ADV feels a bit boat like in comparison. The fact that you can buy so many aftermarket accessories for the xr is a huge bonus. They have the x10 rails, which can accommodate a BTG tyre for another option. You can still use the same front/back boxes, footpads, charger, etc. It's a bit longer frame to accommodate the larger diameter tyre. The x7 fits standard sized tyres. Both great boards, but the BTG gives more cushion over bumps, if that's what you like. Any questions dude, please feel free to ask. You won't go wrong with either. ADV is still a great board, but the Funwheel is a better option, in my opinion
Awesome rip! You've got some great trails there. This may be a stupid question but any recommendations for keeping the trailing leg from killing you after a couple of trails? Just practice and conditioning?
@gymkhanadog Thanks bro! these vescs can rip for sure!!! 💨🔥🤙 We are pretty lucky here, with our trails. There's some bangers! 👊 Not a stupid question at all dude, I'm always happy to help. Unfortunately, it is just practice and conditioning, my friend. I feel you can lose it if you don't ride for a while, too. I always try and push to do another section or so when I ride. It definitely helps condition those legs. Push it enough that you still have control. You can also train at home, using a plank of wood and a balance ball if you can't ride
As Darren says it takes time to get used to using groups of muscles in a new way. A regular hop off and leg and ankle stretch helps a lot. On smooth flat stuff you can carve easily to keep your muscles loose not stiff. Maybe put a ton of miles doen on tarmac additionally to anything offroad? On trails is a tenser game altogether and the chances to carve about are less, to lose the tension. As you go you will relax more when the board is moving about, learning to trust it to level and ride out stuff grows with experience. And that relaxation and good focus is where you want to be for trails really. Oh the rejecting the board shiznit do happen haha
Not sure if you will see this but I started lifting at the gym about 6 months after learning to ride and heavy squats made my legs much better at stabilizing through sketchy chunk.

What is it? a cheaper ONE WHEEL? I'VE always wanted to try a ONE WHEEL but they are so expensive.. I've got a couple of EUC's the GOTWAY RS 100V & NINEBOT Z6.. what should I look to next??
@rcpete7055 It's called a vesc dude. It's not a Future Motion (onewheel) board. Those guys limit their boards capabilities and restrict you from tampering with them. These vesc boards are fully open source, so they unleash the full potential of your board. They also give you many more ways to adjust the ride feel to suit. This one, you can buy from "Fungineers". You can get everything but the bumpers from them, which advise getting from "The Float Life". It's basically a plug and play kit. I paid all in around £1650 but I had my own footpads and bumpers to put on it. It's called the "Funwheel" I'd highly recommend. It fits all "onewheel XR" aftermarket accessories, which is cool because it has a huge variety of products available. The Funwheel is great for that. The quality of their products, the ease of assembly, and the price are unmatched, in my opinion. You can also buy any of the items that break and repair it yourself. Another thing you can't do with a Future Motion Onewheel. Hope that helps dude, and thank you for watching! 🤙 If you get one, you'll love it, I'm sure!!! 💨🤘🔥 Let me know if you don't! 😝
@@Yoruichi__Shihouin Yes bro. All accessories for the original XR will fit, from the Float Life and other companies. Just don't order parts for the new XR Classic as that's not like the original XR. Thanks for watching dude, appreciate it!!! 🧡🙏
X7 Rails VS WTF Rails? Which would you recommend? ADV2 VS Funwheel for street riding and range? What footpads to you recommend on the Funwheel? Oh and what camera are you shooting on? Thanks, great video btw!
@EliteAtlantaHomes You wouldn't go wrong with either man. The difference between the two are, the x7 have height adjustments, WTF's don't. WTF's will have more of a symmetry feeling as the angles are the same front and back. I'd say the x7's will have a lower COG in comparison. Obviously, ADV2 for range because it has the larger 21700 cells in it. But you will have more power, speed, and fun out of the Funwheel. You can also buy a s**t ton of accessories for the Funwheel as it's an xr frame build. Footpads depends on how diy you are, I'd go for x2 kush lo's. You'd need a sensor and cable to mod for it to work. You'll need to make or buy a plate to go underneath the front pad for strength, too. If you want simplicity, go for the Fungineers ones. I'm using an Insta360 x3 for now, upgrading to the x4 soon. Thanks bro! Appreciate that!!! 🧡🤙 Thanks for watching and your comments! 🙏
@skoolynugenator1802 Yes bro, you can always go for the larger cells. If you went for the Thor400 you could even go higher voltage with a bigger pack, too
As someone who only has experience with a non updated GT and never used VESC, how hard are these to setup safely and start ripping right away. This seems like the best option out there, especially for the money am I right?
@@skoolynugenator1802 It's definitely the best bang for your buck man. Absolutely incredible value for your money! Way better, faster, and more powerful compared to a GT. You'll also appreciate the turn tilt and ATR coming from a non-updated GT. It's easy man, follow Surf Dado's vesc setup on UA-cam. That's what I did. Follow it as you go and you can't go wrong. Vesc seems a lot at first but it's just new. Putting it together is really easy, all you gotta do is plug in 4 items and you're done, other than the setup. Probably took less than 2hrs to do. I didn't know anything when I did mine, just followed the video. Any other questions dude, please feel free to ask and I'll help where I can. Thanks for watching bro! @@skoolynugenator1802 Yeah, he's offering that now, too. So even easier bro. It's not difficult anyway. If you can change a tyre you can put one of these together
@1c2h3i4v5a6s I really like them dude. They're much better than the older style ones. These don't dig into your heel area because there's no metal there. I thought the older ones were a bit strange designing it that way. Yes, your foot is far back, but that's the whole point of these lifters beo. They're designed for a wider stance. If you want a narrow stance, go for flight fins. It's all down to preference man. These suited me perfectly as I rode like that without lifters and kept me feet exactly how they were before. They lock you in nicely, and you can lift with them pretty well, compared to others. Really strong, too. No issues with them so far!
@kennypo13 There are no rail guards as of now. If you wanted rails guards, go for the WTF/Varials from The Float life for x7 comparable, or the WTF extended for the x10 equivalent for the BTG. Rail guards are such a pain to take off and get the adhesive off. I don't bother with them anymore. They didn't last long either, one bad crash, and they peeled the edges off. I went through loads on my other boards. Scratches add to the character! 😝 You can always respray them once they get really scratched.
@trashpandaadventurevans I couldn't tell you for sure, as I've only ridden it fast on harder trails. It would definitely do over 20miles with my weight, going chill and on easier trails/road. That's being conservative. I was worried about the range, but this board really surprised me. Definitely enough range, and a quick charging time.
@trashpandaadventurevans Haha, just being honest dude. I'd pick a Funwheel over an ADV all day! If you want just range as an advantage, get an ADV/ADV2. For everything else, the Funwheel is a better board and way more fun! Nice man, this will be an upgrade for sure! 🤙
Hi there brother!! I ride 50/50 offroad and onroad and i am very inclined to buy a funwheel complete kit x7 board. But i've been seeing your videos on the BTG and i can see that is more stable offroad. Would you think i should go for that format? What are the desavantages? I think i would have to go for the x10 instead of the x7 but i dont think fungineers have it as a complete kit...
@djoy38 Hey bro! The complete x7 kit components fit the x10 rails, too. You just swap out the x7 rails for the x10 ones. So get the front controller box, the rear battery box, charger, and the motor (HS version). The BTG tyre has to be bought from Burris Racing. It's the 11.5x7x6 and use the TX-11 soft compound rubber. I would go with the x10 to be able to use the BTG. You get a lot more cushion from the high wall profile of the tyre. It's like having a 5-inch hub. The only slight disadvantage is that the board sits higher because the tyre is bigger, so it feels a bit more tippy than a stock cr sized tyre. I don't mind this, and it's not significant. You could always use the upper holes of the rails to lower it, then that would mitigate that feeling and sit slightly lower than a stock xr. I have it on the lower holes for added clearance on the trails.
@@DarrenAttew the thunder tire that comes with the x7 is also 11,5 ich high. I think the only difference is half an inch in widht. In your experience, do you feel you lose the nimbleness feel from the regular (thunder) tire?
@djoy38 You are correct, but the BTG burris is actually more like a 12" in diameter. The Thunder tyre isn't a BTG. It is a normal sized xr tyre. I know this is confusing, but the size difference is considerable. For instance, the BTG burris will not fit in any xr rails that aren't an extended version to accommodate the bigger BTG tyre. You lose a little bit of nimblness, but I'd rather have the soft cushion feeling of the tyre. I've never found that I can't turn quickly enough on any tyre that I've tried. Being too nimble is worse, in my opinion. Unless you are doing trick riding.
@djoy38 If you want an exact xr feeling board, go with the x7. I race, so I want a board that I can go faster on the trails with. The x10 BTG, is the one. It was 30 seconds quicker on one trail run in comparison. A 2:30 mins run. If you don't care about that stuff and want an xr feeling board, go for the x7 buddy. The x10 doesn't ride like the ADV by the way. That board really does feel boat like to ride. Not for me.
@djoy38 Yes bro, and when riding with other riders on GT's, so confirming it. The Thor300 runs pretty efficiently. I was very surprised. Normally, that battery pack would have less range. Not with the thor
@paramshah740 I've always been hard trail riding on this board, so I can only say for that style of riding. This day, it was over 15 miles. At a guess, not going hard and on flat ground, it could do 20 miles for sure! I weigh 64kg for reference, as weight plays a big part with the boards range. It was definitely better than my GT and other people's GT's when out riding with them.
@benjaminm5232 No dude, that's the weight of the x7. I've got two vescs. One X7, a Funwheel kit, and the X10, which is a custom-built board. That one weighs 19kg
@EliteAtlantaHomes It doesn't feel heavy whilst riding dude, not with that power and the nimblness of the xr platform. It's the superflux that weighs some! 😂 But it's worth it for the power and cooling
I have the funwheel x7 for a while now. Its absolutely amazing! Had the xr for a year and a half, but its has its limitations for sure. Don't ever worry about that dude. I was also worried about this, but I was really surprised how they always come out when falling
Thankz brother.

What is it? a cheaper ONE WHEEL?
Does the fun wheel compatible with float life accessories?
@ Awesome thanks bro!
@EliteAtlantaHomes No worries bro! Feel free to ask any questions anytime man. Always happy to help where I can! 🤙
@@DarrenAttewsounds like if you wanted range you could just do a battery swap pretty easily huh?
Much appreciated! 🧡🙏 Keep me posted on your journey, and hopefully you'll be shredding on one soon! 🙌💨💨👊
@ and if you want you can get the complete assembled board too
@@skoolynugenator1802 Yeah, he's offering that now, too. So even easier bro. It's not difficult anyway. If you can change a tyre you can put one of these together
How are you liking the owls? I tried one for the back footpad but I felt like it was too far back
@1c2h3i4v5a6s I really like them dude.
Have you found any rail guards for the X7's?
@kennypo13 There are no rail guards as of now. If you wanted rails guards, go for the WTF/Varials from The Float life for x7 comparable, or the WTF extended for the x10 equivalent for the BTG. Rail guards are such a pain to take off and get the adhesive off. I don't bother with them anymore. They didn't last long either, one bad crash, and they peeled the edges off. I went through loads on my other boards. Scratches add to the character! 😝 You can always respray them once they get really scratched.
Will TFL varials rails work with fungineers stuff?
@deltax7159 Yes bro, they will fit. All XR accessories fit their products.
@ I figured. Thanks
@deltax7159 No problem dude 🙌 Vesc is the way! 🤙
What the range like say on general road/trail
@trashpandaadventurevans I couldn't tell you for sure, as I've only ridden it fast on harder trails. It would definitely do over 20miles with my weight, going chill and on easier trails/road. That's being conservative. I was worried about the range, but this board really surprised me. Definitely enough range, and a quick charging time.
@ thanks think you converted me. To this. Idea. Was going adv2 Running both a xr V and gt V at the min
Great video
Because the goal is to maintain that xr nimbleness feeling. I wonder if i would lose it going with the BTG and then it would be like a ADV feeling...
Not for me.
The funwheel is giving you more range then the gt?
@djoy38 Yes bro, and when riding with other riders on GT's, so confirming it. The Thor300 runs pretty efficiently. I was very surprised. Normally, that battery pack would have less range. Not with the thor
@@DarrenAttewhow that's really impressive. What battery configuration do you have on yours?
@djoy38 It's the one they sell bro. It's a 20s2p with molicel P28a 18650 cells adding to a 84v pack
@@DarrenAttew what's the highest range you've pulled off on the funwheel?
@paramshah740 I've always been hard trail riding on this board, so I can only say for that style of riding. This day, it was over 15 miles. At a guess, not going hard and on flat ground, it could do 20 miles for sure! I weigh 64kg for reference, as weight plays a big part with the boards range. It was definitely better than my GT and other people's GT's when out riding with them.
Fuck yeahhhhhhhh 🔥🔥🔥
@bugs.floats Thanks mate!!! 🙌🧡🙌 I'm on footage catch up! 🙈😅
What's the weight of the X7?
@@benjaminm5232 17kg dude
That’s with your extra batteries right? Any idea what a stock X7 weighs?
@benjaminm5232 No dude, that's the weight of the x7. I've got two vescs. One X7, a Funwheel kit, and the X10, which is a custom-built board. That one weighs 19kg
@@DarrenAttewThat’s 37 pounds! Close to the Floatwheel. I’m surprised I thought this board was around 30 pounds 😅
@EliteAtlantaHomes It doesn't feel heavy whilst riding dude, not with that power and the nimblness of the xr platform. It's the superflux that weighs some! 😂 But it's worth it for the power and cooling
