I don't think he was making a valid point, although I do agree with him. I think what the comic and the movie was trying to do was paint him as a senile old hypocrite which in my opinion makes TDK Returns all the more compelling
The only thing I disagree with from Batman. In the hands of a bad man it’s a cowards tool sure, but in the hands of good man with morals and principle…it’s one of the best tools out there. Look at our Military and tell them guns are a cowards tool.
Well unfortunately no one in reality has the fantasy luck and strength of Batman to defend themselves with. Don't make the mistake of using radically fantasized characters as logical or political points like so many idiots tend to do nowadays.

That's not true. His utility belt is full of firearms that shoot almost everything except bullets. Most famous of them, the grapple gun.
