  • Good evening everyone, for this first episode of this year's Easter collection, I’m making mini fruit tartlet candles.
I chose to make three different models. The first round is a Lemon Meringue tartlet, the second imitates a caramelized apple tart and the last is a red fruit tart.
My whipped cream could have been more beautiful but it was too hot in my workshop and I didn't want to turn on my ventilation just for a recipe, I should have...
I chose three fragrances for this project: Lemon Meringue, Small Apples and Better than Sex Cake, however for practical reasons, I only perfumed my bases.
Don’t forget to place a dish under your tartlet before lighting it.
    Recipe (identical for all three):
    1st part: making the decorations:
    Soy Wax: 99.5%
Liquid coloring (Graine Créative- France): 0.5%
    2nd part: making the base:
    Olive Wax: 89.5%
    Fragrance Oil (Aromat’Easy- Belgium): 10%
Liquid coloring (Graine Créative- France): 0.5%
3rd part: making the whipped cream:
    Soy Wax: 100%
    1) Fruit Tartlets Candle - Lemon Meringue:
    Fragrance Oil: Lemon Meringue
    Liquid coloring: Yellow
    2) Fruit Tartlets Candle - Caramelized Apple:
    Fragrance Oil: Small Apples
    Liquid coloring: Green
    3) Fruit Tartlets Candle - Red Fruits:
Fragrance Oil: Better than Sex Cake
    Liquid coloring: pink
I recommend that you follow your supplier's instructions for use to know the temperatures for melting, adding the dye and the perfume and then pouring, they can vary according to your type of wax and/or your supplier.
Put your wax to melt then let it cool in order to add the coloring. When it has reached pouring temperature, pour your wax in your fruits molds, trying to stay at the same speed to limit bubbles.

Once your bases and decorations are hard, prepare your whipped cream. I generally count 10 to 25% more to get a good quantity and fill my jar, however this method does not always work. I sometimes have some left over that I pour into small meringues and use as fondants in my incense burner.
To make beautiful whipped cream, you have to practice but many parameters come into play such as the temperature of your work room. For my part, this time, it was not a splendid success. My whipped cream was perfect in the beaker but by the time I poured it into my pocket, it had cooled too much, hardened and pierced my pocket. I managed to get by but my little tartlets could have been prettier…
