10:13 Loud music and dancing in costumes is "definitely not cruisers"!?!??! GAWD, you're lucky if you think that. 😀 Wasn't it you who filmed the "oil festival" in the Caribbean?
5:38 He "didn't eat breakfast or lunch or dinner yesterday", and today he "is HUNGRYYYY" but says the pancakes are OLD!? Either he has a stash of chocolates under his matress or... I don't have any other theories.
8:40 There are SO many things you can do with a cucumber if someone mills coffee while you're trying to record a youtube video. Your patience, my dear Megan, is duly noted in heaven.
I agree. I loved this video. There seems to be too many spelling checkers, grammar checkers, and cross examiners about who ate what when and who’s not telling the truth. ITS ALL FUN FOLKS. Great job in my mind. I see the humour in Sailing Scout and not taking things too seriously and HAVING FUN. Good anchoring suggestions are always welcome and that one was done in the best spirit of friendly and helpful advice. Keep up the great fun, unique humour, laughing and don’t even respond to the negative Nellie’s who correct because they don’t have better things to do. Loved the whole video.
Your videos keep getting better. Loved the variety. Every part was excellent and of course that beautiful sunset at the end. Look forward to them each week. Sail on! ❤⛵️
3:50 The men of the Pemberton-Lindell family... (names changes for reasons of national security). When I was your age (both 12 and 45), if my mom cooked me dinner, I would DIE of shock. Ever since I was 8, she always gave me the same three things for dinner - a knife, a frying pan and a fridge! 😀
Liking the mix of this video….a little bit of everything (sailing, islands in the sun, food, coffee, life lessons, water sports), especially liked the slow-mo of Megan’s spill 😭….glad to have found your channel…..take good care, stay fun and well, 🤗
11:00 In the Mediterranean, especially in Greece and Turkey, you see this kind of wind and moorings failing and chaos, and you still see Ukrainians dancing at loud music as their 20-year-old catamarans are pushed towards the rocks. 😀The funniest part is when they try to grab a guitar and play AND sing along Beyonce or one of their own performers. Now THAT is crazy. 😀
What a beautiful video! The sunset at the end was something. Really liked the time window of your happy life on Scout! Also, Really great seeing Kieran taking on some duties! He’ll be a mate in no time!
14:50 (ish) I never get those descriptions. I don't drink coffee but I drink WINE. And I NEVER taste "raspberry overtones" or "slight tobacco aftertaste".
We like wine too. One of my favorite pastimes is pick a flavor profile at random and confidently say ‘oh, I get stewed plums and leather!’ And 9 times out of 10 people will say they’re getting it too because no one can really pinpoint anything.
@@sailing_scout ROFLMAO You are EVIL!!!! But it's SO true! And despite my prolific history of wine -drinking- tasting I am still to meet those experts they show on TV who take a sip and say "Oh, that's 2009 Chateau Something". And 99% of my friends can't tell semi-sweet from semi-dry. Me neither! 😀 I'm only an expert in ONE wine - sauternes. Keep it coming barkeep!
No marriage savers for pulling yp the anchor? Cool to see Kieran learning the ropes. I've watched you all since day one, each episode you see. To just be more and more 'on it' and really relaxed. You guys have come so far👍
There wasn’t much wind, so it was a pretty relaxed pull, so no marriage savers. Thanks so much! Megan and I were chatting the other day that we don’t know when it happened, but we don’t feel like total newbies anymore. Thanks for the comment!
When you go in the pass at Huahine turn right and go to the southern end of the island. Across from the resort is excellent holding with a bonus of possible Manta rays. This was by far the best spot in Huahine.
6:40 Could it be that the episode where you fished some Frenchies out of the drink hit you harder than you show? You are not "getting conservative". I think (and it's only my theory) you are realizing THIS is actually a pretty dangerous endeavor and you mustn't take your previous luck for granted. Just a blind guess on my side... Or we can skip talking about existential matters and compare Tokaj to Chateau d'Yquem. 🙂
Ironically given your comment, this episode happened just before the boat wreck we witnessed. If you look closely, the ‘party’ anchorage is the same one (and same wind) where the boat hit the reef. But I do think the longer you’re out there and the more things you see go wrong make one more cautious.
@@sailing_scout No, I actually didn't notice that. I was sure the "French dispatch" happened at Fakarava. Goodness me, stop confusing me!!! You MUST make this more chronological. I'm at least 4 years older than you, so show some respect to elderly people! Likely your "approach" is better. I'm a.... let's call it "safety paranoid" person, so I always imagine "the worst case scenarios". I'd use TWO seatbealts if there were any. 🙂And it not only drives people around me crazy but hurts my reputation as a good adventure companion. Who wants to climb the Hollywood Hill with someone who demands a sherpa? 😀
What a wonderful episode I really enjoyed this one. I couldn't stop laughing when you were grinding the coffee I'm still chuckling about it just thinking of it. I'm very glad you're playing it safe when you're anchoring . You looked like you were having fun on that foil board. I think I'm gonna have to give that 1 a try also it looked so Fun. Thank you for sharing the adventure
14:30 FOUR KILOS of coffee!? I could only write it off to you imperials not knowing how much a kilo is. 😀

True enough, though normally we drink in our cockpits in relative quiet. And the go to sleep when the sun goes down.
13:30 A murder attempt disguised as an accident! NICELY DONE, MEGAN! I see you're learning. 🙂
10:31 Now THAT's dancing. 😀
12:40 The chapter is called "UPS and DOWNS". You edited out the "UPS"? 😛
Great episode! I know a lot of work went in to it. Liked seeing Kieran participating with anchoring, working on lures, and trying foiling.
Thank you! Having people like yourself out there that enjoy watching is one of the primary reasons we put the effort in. Thanks for the comment!

Kieran definitely ate the day before. Think he just wanted to get attention.

Picked up somewhere along the way.

Love your guts videos, but we do feel that there’s not enough Eily air time. My girls love her.
It ebbs and flows… I’ll be sure to pass your comment along to her! Thanks for watching!

Good grief. She said “ relatively speaking”
A year and a half and 12k miles, I wouldn’t call us experts, but we aren’t greenhorns at this point either… 👍
