- Lesson learned - hold out for what you really want. At the end of the day I ended up with two fj80 land cruisers - hopefully the first will be usable for some parts.
In the next video we will be purchasing a ZL1 Camaro to pull the LSA and 6l90. I forgot to mention - the second land cruiser in this video ALSO had a blown head gasket. Gotta love an inline 6.

Solid base to a project. I'd like to see this truck when you get it done.
I picked up a 95 with lockers from an auction for 1500. Driveshafts needed joints and it needed an alternator and I’ve been wheeling it for about 5 years now

As a guy who owns & loves my 3FE, that guy is totally off his rocker to be asking that much for that one WITH a potentially cracked head. Dude is on some STRONG stuff to think he’s gonna get that kind of money out of that, even with these inflated 80s prices.

Looks like you and I are on a similar journey. Picked up my second POS LC two weekends ago. Hoping to combine that with my original pos and come out with something decent. Cant wait to see how you make progress!
It's a lot of work to restore a 80 series in a basic way. Much more work to add a supercharged v8 in along with it. Careful not to bite off more than you can chew unless you've done this before.
It's a pretty supported platform/swap - anything I encounter we will get through, we have some great talent backing the build to help the hiccups.
Which engine and transmission mounts are you using?
We ordered Marks 4wd and it came with the engine mounts I believe - Transmission I'm not sure yet probably will be something we mock up.
About to plunk down some money for a 1996 FZJ80 triple locked. But oh boy is it a pos atm. Wondering how much that 2nd Landcruiser cost you?
We picked the second one up for $5500 - not a steal but I liked that it had lockers and no rust/clean body. Has a blown head gasket too.
was the other one even triple locked?
The 1st one was not - the second one is.
