- Todd Tuckey wonders why the Judge Dredd pinball machine is not loved! It cannot be because there is a lack of rules and things to do, that's for sure! LOOK at all the features of this machine and see a neat mod you can do with YOUR machine with the three towers! PLUS...a visit from Russ from Pin Rescue...and an upcoming Flintstones pinball machine and some NEW mods we have done!
Bally/Midway also released an arcade video game tied into this pinball but it was not widely seen and mostly sold as a "kit" I had one at one time too! www.arcade-muse...

Beautiful restores too...When you guys get done with them they do look brand new, so cool to see these games that I never played in the 90's; they have more features in them than most new Sterns.

i was lucky to play this once in the late 90s, and it is an interesting game. Of course this was when Bally and Midway had the rights to make the games based on the comic book (of course, the Midway arcade game got canned, and thankfully with good reason).
As for the match sequence in this one, it reminds me of the scene in Back to the Future Part II where Marty encounters the Ex-principal Strickland in the alternate 1985 (the reason why he isn't a principal is explained in detail in a deleted scene where Marty sees the burnt remains of Hill Valley High School), and a group of punks do a drive by on him, only for him to respond with his shotgun while he screams ''EAT LEAD, SLACKERS!!'' at them.

TNT Amusements Inc That must be the one that was truly based on the movie which was made by Acclaim. And speaking of guns, there's a site which talks about how after the disastrous location test of Midway's Judge Dredd, the crew who made it tried to pitch a Terminator 2 style shooter which was based on the movie, which never got produced.
This is my 2nd favorite pin of all time. Right behind Twilight Zone. The arcade I used to frequent back in the day had this and TZ right next to each other. When I got bored of one, I switched to the other. I really wish I'd bought this one a few years ago, when the prices were still somewhat low.

In my opinion three under-rated games - Judge Dredd, No Fear and Flintstones. Owned them all and love all three.
JD was always a hard machine to workshop properly! I also did the deadworld mod a couple of times that puts it back to prototype. A guy in the UK used to sell new 'rings' to do this. It really wasnt worth it! Like the third magnet in TZ. A lot of work for such a small feature.
Phil Docker People were spoiled back then...expecting lots of new games every year...and they simply moved on...now with the lack of new games, people "discover" these forgotten "new" games and find that they ARE fun!
I am not in the trade anymore. Too many machines about 8 years ago left the UK in shipping containers to Austrailia and the USA. Prices shot thru the roof for used games. Games you could pick up for £350 are now £1500. Things like AFM, MM, CV are astronomical. Plus shipping of parts from the US is costly and we have to pay 23% import duty.
The weird thing on this side of the pond, not many people have Gottleib DMD games. It is mainly Bally Williams, Data East and Stern.
Phil Docker Yes...but I remember when you could buy the reimports like Judge Dredd for $500 all day long! That sure changed! Those days are over and these games are going way up in value here in USA too...
Cool game. I think it's underrated because people think of the movie or don't know anything about the comic book.

candy cane spotted at 6:14. hmmm, video posted in early april. has it been hanging there for 4 months? a year (or two) and four months? OR, is the candy cane the perfect tool for manipulating/removing a specific pinball mechanism? :-)

I have a choice to buy a dredd, last action hero and who dunnit. I'm not sure but I'm thinking dredd it probably the best one to get

We had Varkon pass through TNT before we made these videos...there may be one in the Expo video we have up..I do not remember!

a question... on my dredd Pinball on the rear of plastic 1 , 2 ,3 not light....
maybe a loose connection? A bad ground to those three lights, a broken wire?

Seasons changing... and I'm out of it. having been commenting as much have I. Got a new Tablet my a 7 inch sure is easier to hold for a pinball game than a 10 inch. don't know why either (Nexus 7 2013 version) although with a cheap otter box on there probably not. only phones are otter boxes any good. Poetic isn't bad. should add on the smoking is bad for your health ... and your games!! love the movie with Stallone , not sure about that game. Flintstones is looking good
