My father is VERY Greek ...instead of Windex, his cure all was to put Lemon on it..lemon on ANY aliment, cuts, ouch!! Also he crossed himself when wasn't happy or didn't agree on something. I love Greek music and everything Greek. Very proud of my heritage. Thanks Dad.

Well, I agree, but the Young ppl Will change ur culture to be more modern european like us from Scandinavia. I have seen the changes sine 1988 utntil now. The pandemi has not made IT easier for greeks and the Albanians Who live here...

When I worked in a Greek Bakery I would put on traditional music like this for customers when they walked in. I loved giving them samples of the koulourakia and baklava. It was nice to see their eyes light up and hear their stories of life back in Greece.

I listen to this over and over thru the days stretching into months it's so good! I cook and eat my food to this music. I drink beer to it as well. I learned how to cook greek meatballs to this music.
Recently I was in Halifax and talking to another immigrant from Ireland I heard that his first visit was in 1978 and that was he loved Greece and since then he still goes as much as he can..!
Been back in the UK for 2 days & missing Greece 🇬🇷 already 😢 doing the next best thing & listening to Greek music 🎶 .

Went to Cephalonia in the 80's flew Dan Air for those who remember, only 2 hotels then Mediteranee and the White Rocks, Customs was the local policeman,and if he was busy you had to wait until he could get to the at the Airport, no control tower fire engine sat at the end of the runway and spoke to the pilot to say what way the wind was blowing. There was also a small restaurant not far from the Mediteranee owner was a wonderful chap name was Andros and amazing grilled shrimp.
A truly magical place went twice 2 years running fell in love with the Islands and the people.
As an add on went to Fiskardo a as it was then a small place on the Island had a meal asked the owner where we could go swimming he advised an amazing white pebbled Beach and low and behold a short while later he turned up and joined us said it was quiet so what the hell truly amazing.
How times have changed.

@@ioannagiannia1742 Sadly only Poros, i hope one day to see Takis with his dogs in Crete, that's my big goal, the work he has done for the abandoned animals is amazing, Takis should be a saint, what a great man.
@@douglashelliwell3347 You're right, Takis must be a saint! An angel who was sent to the Earth to help these lovely creatures! I've never been to Crete myself and when I go, I will definetely visit his shelter. I' m thinking of going there next summer. When there are people like Takis in the world, there is still some hope for a better future!
@@ioannagiannia1742 Have you seen Takis on you tube, we pay towards the animals every month like many others. This all helps Takis, he has had many dogs adopted over Europe, sadly he picks up more neglected animals every week. His work is hard, yes the Greek government should look upon what he's done. The Greek government could help but does nothing. I hope if you go you have a lovely time. 😊🇬🇧
